Hey, the gundams that you have are the older versions that requires paint. But currently, gundams now require no paint, as they all have different coloured parts. Additionally, it is much more easily to break the pieces off and they piece together much more easily.

Sounds like you got a Master Grade, I'd recommend getting a High Grade model kit to start with for trying stuff out, practicing painting, all that sort of thing. You can get some cheap ones for like ten bucks or something for each to practice different techniques. Those come with colored plastic as well so you can assemble it and be done with it, or get some paints for your own modifications/practice. Also nippers are good for getting pieces out, then use the knife to cut the excess plastic off.

If you like Napoleon Dynamite, check out Gentlemen Broncos. Same director (Jared Hess), same weird midwestern people, but honestly way more fun.
