I'm a truck driver in real life and I've been watching and laughing every time they talked about getting a license on their own. You have to go to vocational school for at least three months. Also, I make right turns on red lights all the time. I had no idea this was a law in Florida, but I never go there because I don't want to die. I love this series. I never had an idea that I would get so much joy out of watching other people play a video game of my job.

I like how neither of the bois can follow the goddamn speed limit. Ryan consistently goes 15+ MPH over, and then has to brake like crazy when the road curves or he hits traffic. Meanwhile, Matt appears to go about 10 MPH below for no apparent reason other than he just hates making deliveries on time. It's surprisingly infuriating that these guys don't just hit 2 to 5 MPH above & ride on cruise control, like any normal human being.

For the record, you still get paid for late deliveries in the game, it just pays you less. I would guess it's probably based on how late you are, I don't know. I don't have much experience with that because when I have a deadline coming up, I don't sleep for 30 straight hours.

Trucks CAN turn on red, but I understand the confusion here. The game is just really picky about how you turn right on red. You have to pull right up as close as you can before stopping completely, have your correct blinker on, and then (if no one is coming) you can go. It's super hard if you have a long load or especially an articulated trailer, in which case you might just want to wait for the green light so you can make a wider turn.
