Information on Tyler:
A former leading West Coast supermoto rider, O’Hara turned to road racing in 2010 and scored AMA Pro SuperSport podiums in his rookie season. He then went on to become one of the elite riders in the Harley-Davidson XR1200 class, winning eight nationals and finishing overall runner-up in 2013. O’Hara is an adaptable racer with experience in motocross and flat track, as well.

How close do you ride from the tank?

if there is sand on asphalt and rear wheel slide then i can handle it, but don't get how to handle situation when front wheel starts sliding, is there any way to prevent it? i talk about public roads, so i can't pass every corner by drifting like supermoto/enduro do.

Sometimes you cannot save it. Front end feeling is a really hard thing to master and takes a lot of time. There are so many factors like how much lean angle, how much brake pressure, what temperature are your tires. If anything watch Marc Marquez because he is one of these riders I cannot believe the amount of skill he has!

Those front end saves that he has sometimes are the most amazing thing I've ever seen! And that is coming from a Rossi fan.

HA! It is quite a site to see. Also watch how much he pushes his corner entries which is a lot of force on the front tire.

it happened to me a lot cause of a very slippery asphalt, but it wasn't at high speeds, just at very tight corners in the 2nd gear, and i felt how my handlebar began to get loose and wanted to slide sideways, i just pulled the clutch and hoped for the best....and nothing happened, but i think at high speeds its another story cause it will slide much faster away and to save something like this you have to be lucky or have a good feeling for your bike and tires, which isn't really that easy with our soft carcass street tires , cause the feedback on a race tire is much better , but the harder the carcass the more uncomfortable the riding on bumpy streets

DrewTalks so you mean to control the throttle with your index finger and thumb? I typically rest the outside of my palm on the bar end and control the throttle with my palm. Is this wrong? I've tried the finger and thumb method while out riding and feel like i tend to hang on with those 2 fingers it feels a little sketch.

@@tpow2651 it's about feelings, not to using two fingers for throttle. Go smooth, gently and tight
