Skip day is a thing in North America (and maybe other places too!) It's a chosen day in high school where the kids can skip classes. In my high school, it was only for grade 12, and classes still happened for those that didnt skip, the school wasn't closed for any reason because it's not a holiday, but you weren't expected to show up. Other schools might do it differently, though.

I actually envy you @Dakara ! Because when watching this real time, the show could NOT help spoiling the heck out of this. (They wanted to hype it up so they could hopefully get more viewers for this episode. Which is also the 300th episode if you weren't aware.) So we all knew that John would be making an appearance. (For me it kind of killed some of the drama of it all.) I'm so glad you got to see this unspoiled though.

I get why they want to hype up for the views etc but I’m with you, the shock factor is amazing and it’s important they keep that. This is why I don’t typically watch trailers, the mystery is then gone and they can be so spoilery.

Am I the only one that noticed that despite all of the seasons and growth these boys have gone through. John comes back and kicks their ass 2 v 1 like its nothing. Just saying. This episode is one hurricane of emotion but either way it shows how much of a bad ass John is. We've seen Sam and Dean take on angels demons etc and John comes in 2v1 and sends them back to school on their tush.
