Rating - 10/10 - There's a pain in my chest, is that normal??... Asking for a friend. Seriously though, MY HEART GUYS! This show kills me....I LOVE IT SO MUCH. What an episode!! Bobby, you precious human ghost you! I missed his face so much guys, seeing him was both torturous & amazingly enjoyable all at the same time!! The fact he was trapped in hell hurts my heart so damn much! Benny & Dean too - I cant even! This ep was too much in the best possible way. I cant believe Benny did that, he's just too sweet & honourable! Hopefully he returns! Bless your heart , I love your reaction , and how you're invested in the characters , that was one of the saddest episodes , Benny was one of my all time favourite characters and he had so much potentials , such a shame losing him, I find it interesting that Benny's struggle is the same as cas', Benny didn't fell like he was a good fit, he didn't feel like he belonged not with the vamps and not with the humans, cas also doesn't feel like he belonged not with the angels and not with the humans, and how both Benny and cas have expressed suicidal tendencies in this season😢.

Yes, that's what made me wish we saw them reunited at least one time. And having a suicidal character actually commit suicide (because that what it was in a way), it's not a great feeling.

This double sacrifice by Benny ended who really is a hunter, no matter how many times I see I always cry, dakara I was so anxious for your reaction to this episode, I love your sincerity in everything, and seeing Bobby again never hurts, Dakara please help us in this quarantine and post more supernatural reaction, i love you and your channel. 🖤

I too miss Benny in a lot of ways he’s like Dean and why they get along so well but this episode shows how much his story is much like Dean’s in season 6 he tried normalcy to stay on the straight and narrow but too much complications and in the end Benny decided to stay in Purgatory a place while it was ‘bloody and messy’ was the only place he seemed comfortable.

By the way, monster souls can't die in Purgatory. Sure they showed tons of them getting "killed" but it would be like what happened to Dean as per his description when Alastair was torturing him in hell---they would "die" temporarily only to be made whole/revived again since it is their resting place and there's nowhere else for dead monsters to go. So if Benny would "die", his soul would be revived back to its form for eternity unless another human got him out again. Same would apply to leviathans.

Another thing I noticed ever since the night this episode aired was how the back door to Hell was left open, so it means there should be monsters roaming around in Hell and demons roaming around in Purgatory. But to this day there hasn't been any mention of that.

and another pigtailed Dakara treat to end the week with where the cup of emotions doth runneth over! fantastic reaction: from the hopeful glee at the prospect of seeing our fave grizzled Bobby, to the sad sacrifice of Benny, to the mania slowly consuming Kevin.... all great stuff..... always felt sad that Benny was never able to find a "vegetarian vamp" colony like the one which Sam/Dean let go back in S3(?) as it would've been nice to see him adjust back to the world..... still a great ep and reaction to close the week, and a double CTU for you, D! keep em coming!

That scene between Naomi and Dean is when I felt like Naomi couldn't be 100% trusted. She talked about Cas to Dean like Cas had any choice during that time and as if he chaned for some unknown reason, and not because she was the one pulling the strings on him and making him acting strange. Naomi saying "I just told him he had to protect the tablet no matter what" as if the control that she had on him didn't work as DIRECT commands. She would say for him to do or say something, he would do exactly, word by word, what she said to him. The exact one and only time he didn't obey was when she commanded him to kill Dean and he just couldn't because his feelings for him are much stronger. So, that scene made me really dislike her. She clearly knows how Dean feels about Cas (and obviously how Cas feels about Dean, since she only trained him to be ready to kill Dean when that time came), so she used Dean's feeling of rejection and made him think like Cas betrayed him and didn't trust him and it was HIS CHOICE to hurt and betray Dean and Sam all this time. It's such a good, heavy storyline, I love it

I think Naomi is an interesting character in that she genuinely wants what is best for Heaven and for humanity it's just that she's often in opposition to the Winchesters or trying to use them. *SPOILERS* In the season finale Naomi expresses regret that heaven has been corrupted from its original purpose, (our job was to protect humans I don't know when we forgot that - inaccurate quote but you get it) but the reason Cas, Sam and Dean don't trust her is because, as I said above, she often works in opposition and they can't reliably trust her. This isn't the first time we've seen Angels like this, the Angels who went after Kevin when he first became a prophet, most notably Hester, GRIEVED over how corrupt heavan had become and how many angels had died. Supernatural is rife with tragedy, trauma, violation, abuse and genocide but the downfall of Heaven in particular is one of their most heartbreaking story threads. Heaven was happy until God left. The Archangels ( Michael and Raphael) used heaven to bring about the Apocalypse but in doing so abandoned humanity (except for a few brief exceptions we are told that Angels haven't walked the Earth in thousands of years when Castiel first appears in the show). After Sam drags Micheal into the Cage the angels, who don't understand free will, deal with a power struggle for the first time between Raphael and Cas. Cas's desperation to win and teach heaven free will results in him killing HUNDREDS in heaven. So now heaven has no leaders (Raphael and Cas are out of the picture) but they also don't trust free will because Cas made mistakes and he was the one trying to teach them free will. So at this point in spn we have Naomi who wants what's best for Heaven first and to help humans second. I think she actually could have been a good leader of heaven. And she had the potential to develop a decent working relationship with the Winchesters (kinda like Crowley). Sadly twas not to be😔 (Also God damn this is a long comment!)

I liked most of this episode except what they did with the reaper Ajay. Reapers are not supposed to be visible to normal humans, only to spirits, humans close to dying or humans wearing Death's ring and Sam did not fall into any of those categories. So that was a huge retcon and contradiction to canon when you consider what they went through in Death Takes A Holiday to see reapers so they could save them & stop the seal from being broken. That subtracts a lot from this episode. Everything else I thought was done well. I'd give this episode a high 9 score had it not had that retcon, but because of that I'd have to give it a high 7 (like a 7.8) instead. Storytelling, details, and adherence to canon is very important to me, so I just can't let that go when it doesn't jive with the big picture (i.e. past seasons' canon).

S3, 4 , 5 , 8, 9 have the best finales imo. 10 is good too but later on it was a bit of a letdown, I haven't seen the last 2 seasons cuz I want it all to finish so that I can binge it. But s8 and 9 finales are the best of the show, even better than when they let Lucy out
