Supernatural VR : VR Fitness for 30 Days : What is Supernatural, and is it really worth the purchase? I'm trying supernatural VR for 30 days and here are my results!
Virtual Reality Exercise Results Supernatural my one month review
So, we've had the oculus quest vr two for a little over a month now. One of the biggest draws for us was the ability to exercise. I was pretty skeptical at first, but I've seen videos all across social media and thought I had to try it. Today marks one month of exercising inside virtual reality, and all I can say is wow! A month ago, we decided to take the plunge inside Supernatural to give it a try. We signed up for a month-to-month membership at $19 a month, which is way below what we paid with a personal fitness program last year.

To break it down for you, though, you need an Oculus headset that will run you about $300 on time, and then the monthly membership for Supernatural is around $19 a month.
The $19 membership gives us access to a whole list of workouts, meditation, and stretches. Each exercise features well-known musical artists from classical to country to 90s prom hits to rap. Workouts can last from 7mins up to an hour, with coaches shouting and pushing you along the way in each session.
For me, the first few days felt more like a video game. I started easily with 10-15 minute workouts on the low setting. After getting the hang of it, I decided to push myself and give the next four weeks ago. So, my wife and I started a weekly competition where we would compete based on points earned inside each workout. Usually, the longer the exercise and the more complicated the level, the more points you can get.
Within a week, I went from the medium setting to high intensity. One great thing about Supernatural is connecting your apple watch to the app. This allows the app to track your heart rate through Bluetooth onto the headset. So after each song, you're able to view your heart rate. The first week my heart rate would range from 180s to 190s. I know, I was out of shape terrible lol. But today four weeks later, The heart rate has dropped to about 165.
The weekly challenges my wife and now mother-in-law have pushed me from going from the 10-15 minutes workouts to now doing up to 90-minute sessions with different exercises.
The great thing about the session is it still feels like a game, but with non-stop movement for the entire time. When I feel tired and can't go on, something about the trainers and game-like setting allows me to push through that pain easily.
My issue over the past few years is time. There is never enough time in the day. Between work, dad, husband, and everything else I have going on, it's been a challenge finding time to head to the gym. For me, the pandemic has helped with allowing me to view working out differently. I am doing it all from home on my time. Working out in Virtual reality has been thinking I may never step foot in another gym.
From my heart rate to even me losing 7 pounds in the past few weeks (diet does play a role in that as well!), Supernatural has been a blessing and a fun experience.
I'm curious, what are your thoughts on working out at home and also working out in Virtual Reality? Is this something you're doing or even considering? Please comment below; I'd love to hear about your journey!
