That was great. I'm a bassplayer in a Black Sabbath tribute band and it's nice to see videos like this breaking the songs down. Gone are the days of buying cassette tapes and wearing them out with the constant rewind and play while trying to learn your parts. Volume 4 is a cool album.

Thanks for this. I've loved Sabbath for over 30 years and Geezer is the reason I started playing bass. Vol 4 may be my favourite album of theirs but unfortunately the bass is criminally buried in the mix, and nearly impossible to pick out. This is very helpful!
@BeholdenToTheRiff Жыл бұрын
Happy it helped!!! Btw, check out the recent Vol. 4 remaster, the bass is way more present and makes the whole album hit even harder🤘

Riff 2 for sure - can’t help but move to it every time I hear. Those hammer/ pulls give it such an awesome bubble effect I kinda thought he was sliding between the two notes. Great lesson dude!
@BeholdenToTheRiff4 жыл бұрын
Thanks for checking it out🙏I thought it was slides too and checked out a couple live vids to see what he was doing. Iommi is definitely using slides and is way higher in the mix, making it difficult to hear the bass part. I think the use of hammer-ons give the song a little more drive and are more proof of Geezer’s genius🤜🤛🤘
