I chose the Arcade when I bought my first bike because of the price point and the steel frame. Being a heavier rider (who never seen a trials bike in person) I felt that the steel frame would stand up to the most abuse from a heavy rider. I absolutely love the Arcade. I don’t think a first time rider could go wrong picking any of these bikes. Personally, I’m a huge fan of having both an Arcade and a Hex.

I was pleasantly surprised by the Arcade - the BB was higher than I expected and that made for such a good ride! Pretty sweet that you have a bike on each end of the Street Trials spectrum!

The Flow is also great for its sturdy 4 bolt bash and replaceable non integrated front sprocket, for all the bashes that learners will have.

I personally think, that the fourplay is much more of a Bmx style bike since it is a lot shorter and more nimble. Spin tricks and Bmx inspired combos work so much better on the fourplay. The Arcade is very heavy, long, and straight forward. Good for trials moves. The hex is just a big fourplay for people over 6 ft or those who like the bigger wheels. I can do Bmx stuff better on the hex than on the arcade. I'd say the order from streety to trialsy is: Fourplay, Hex, Arcade. Also the Frames of Team and Pro models do indeed differ a bit. since 2022 I believe the team models get a different/upgraded fork with a 20mm through axle instead of the 15mm. I learned that the hard way after buying the wrong sized hub for my bike😂 Also the flow sadly is NOT worth the money. If you spend a bit more to get a fourplay for example is absolutely worth it, since it rides 1000 times better. I started on the flow and was getting really frustrated with my riding until I got the opportunity to ride a fourplay. It was so much better and I even learned tricks I couldn't do for sh*t in a matter of one hour. That forced me into buy one myself just a month later😁

the full range is rubbish for actual trials , get a comp set up if you wanna actually reach your peak limit .

I'm trying to figure out what to do for my 9 year old, I've been looking at the Inspired Flow 20 but at $1200USD I would want to know he's going to hold an interest. He already has a very good MTB and a Dirt jumper and I still need to feed him lol. I've looked everywhere for a used kids bike but no luck. He's also got an 18" BMX bike but I read that it's not worth trying to convert..... He's been watching your videos and then trying on his dirt jumper, thanks for all the effort.

You might also check out a brand called Jitsie, they make a handful of kids trials bikes in the $800 range. Ultimately it's not a bad idea to have him continue practicing on his MTB - all these skills will only help his overall bike control, so it'll be helpful to have them mastered on that bike, too.

Does anyone have any recommendations on where to buy Inspired bikes? I live in Portland Oregon and not aware of any stores locally so I assume online is the way to go. Just starting street trials on a dirt jumper, which works, but kind of want to give one of these a go!

They have dirt jump geometry. You rather watch usain bolt run in flip flops ? every video shows comp trials are waaay better for street trials . You wouldn't catch damon watson riding these or neil tunnicliff or jack carthy . Danny mac just needed a dirt jump geometry bike to do 360's and flairs . you buy an inspired and you're artificially capping your limits..25yr trials veteran .

Respect - sounds like we've been riding trials around the same amount of time. Something to consider, would a rider like Brad Simms come into the sport of Trials if he had to ride a comp bike? I'm really interested to see what other people can bring to the sport, and street trials is undoubtedly the easiest entry point for new riders. I don't disagree with any of your points, I honestly love riding my comp bike on street - but I think there's value in the street trials category when it comes to bringing new people into this sport.

@@SuperRiderTV I dont know that guy i'll look him up . i rode with damon watson + danny burton ben travis mike kalghy + 8 other high calibre riders +10yrs , we all desperately wanted longer lower bikes +higher bb's..these inspireds are big step backwards BUT as you say its become a good gateway / starter bike . it has become a pure ''comp chomp '' desert tho , i'm gonna oil my knees and make my own videos( i'm still agile asf somehow 😂) . I started young so ive got that springy charlie flow on things within my height / , hes more technical + more power then me tho /everyone thats not jack tbh 😂 . Random coincidence trivia... i personally know the inspired bikes ceo Dave 😂, he rode with us several times on a full comp 26'' onza t rex , he's quite good + real nice guy.. hand delivered me my zona zip to my house when i broke my echo urban 26''..

Having built and ridden (and competed in the British champs last year getting a 3rd place in expert) an actual dirt jump frame as a trials bike I can confirm they are very different compared with a street trials bike. To an untrained eye they may look similar but the longer chain stays, lower bb and slacker head angle make a huge difference. There's a reason why street trials bikes have the geo they do...the riders wanted it. Sure the shortness might make TGS style street a bit harder but that's not the type of riding that riders will be doing on these (though it's certainly still possible)...these are much more about all-round ability than maximizing power moves, manuals, spins, flips plus trials is where these shine and the top riders (Danny Mac etc) are as equally skilled as Damon and Jack Carthy only in a slightly different form of trials.
