Singing live. What stars. It's good to see old pop shows and hear long forgotten songs.

This was one of my favorite shows back then! It was so cool with the confetti, smoke, balloons & bubbles...and great acts! 🎶 loved the theme song, too! I never thought I'd see Supersonic again ⭐

The Glitter Band and Shawaddywaddy are responsible for me being a pro drummer haha . Seriously I've made a life out of it playing back up in lots of concerts and festivals . So I say THANK YOU to these days as a kid and all the wonderful music these and years on producer out of this little time island called Great Britian . Stay LUCKY and remember they can't stop you laughing or dancing 😎

Had no idea Frankie Miller covered Sail Away the same year as Nilsson, and in similar style. Nilsson's version was more a heavy ballad, Miller's a blues. Tina Charles was so pretty.

as we KNOW Trevor H is featured here on bass, i presume the man on keyboards (quick flash of BACK of his head!) is Geoff Downes, both to "buggle" off a few years later with Video killed etc etc.

You wouldn't have even been safe being into the Bay City Rollers back then as their drummer was into kiddie fiddling as well!

I quite liked Supersonic back in the day. But it never really broke the dominance that Top of the Pops had. And without that breakthrough the advertising revenue was never going to skyrocket to the levels it needed to. Chicken and egg sadly.

No one had a chance competing against the publicly funded BBC, very unfair. Loved Supersonic as a kid, seeing it again I can understand why.

Their variety of tunes as self-written just didnt gel with the audience at large (though the earlier releases did sell reasonably big, the LPs sold steady and the tours were popular), GG as a showman always blew things away on his stage presence. Later tours there was dispute between one of the drummers and Garry as to who could use The Glitter Band/G Band etc name for touring and recording)
