The biggest thing for business is making sure you have disclaimers, liabilities and forms aligned. I damn near got sued when I was in business (I'm in CA aka The Sue State). Which also brings me to next point #2: make sure you structure your business properly (ie LLC, sole proprietor, incorporated etc). Then #3: get licensed, bonded and insured

You have given very invaluable information, specifically concerning insurance which is where I see a lot of these gurus cutting corners on by passing the liability in some for or another to everyone else. What also got my attention was that they use a lot of creative ways of renting the vehicles, such as renting other's vehicle. I wasn't aware of this being legal at all but it's practiced. Thank you again for sharing and providing this info.

In addition to determining whether a market exists and how big it is, you also need to determine what competition exists - not just other exotic car rentals, but car rental companies in general and car "lending" like Turo - then determine how you are going to compete and how much of the market they are going to leave you. IMHO the exotic car rental business has too many probable big risks. It can be reasonably expected that most renters will "put the hammer down" at some point and given that most renters will not have had any experience with high powered vehicles it is quite probable bad (and expensive to fix) things will happen.

While it may be technically legal, it depends on how your insurance sees use, garaged, etc etc if something happens and a claim is filed. Maybe Rob’s insurance has more flexibility than mine. @@paladin3116 yes its completely legal its just the insurance claim in the event of the accident the insurance company will try to avoid paying. Rob probably has the right insurance, maybe a cheap trailer in montana that he can use as a residence, that llc thing or both. Theres a right way to do it but you have to know all the steps but he probably wont ever tell us because if the info gets out it would be easier to crack down on people who do it. I want to do it but i need to get all the info that i can. Its simple if you had it for a cheap daily and if a crash happened and no payout from the insurance company it wouldnt matter, toss the car and get a new one but more expensive ones idk.

Because the video has horrible audio, I will break down the video in a couple of sentences: Research the demand in the area. The business must own the cars (don't borrow). Get renters insurance (start with cheaper cars - sub 100k as they are easier to insure). Don't buy E-books on how to start exotic car rental business. Ask Rob specific questions of problems and he will help you. That's basically it.

Starting an exotic rental company seems a lot like trying to start an airline. Significant barriers to entry, high operating costs, fickle demand, and a customer base that shops almost exclusively on price. Yet people want to start them because it seems like a flashy and sexy business. You want to get involved in cars you're better off starting a buy-here-pay here lot and flipping volume making money hand over fist.

Sorted has been the biggest balls up. 4 days ago Rob said it would be up “tomorrow”. Seeing how he signs off every video with “see you tomorrow” and we don’t see him for a while. I think his “tomorrow” mean 7-14 days. I understand he is a VERY busy man but give it to Hartford to upload etc! Then it might be consistent. I think every episode the views have been less and less! I'm so sorry to bother you Rob. Out here in somerset Kentucky we have something called summer night cruise. A lot of people have nice old school cars that they show off as they drive em up and down the strip.. with that being said. A LOOOOT of people sit with their kids and friends on the sides of the strip WISHING that was them... I think it would be another place you could set up shop. I just hope you check it out. There are plenty of people who come out here from Ohio because of the lake in somerset Kentucky.

I was also thinking of an idea for a membership... monthly and yearly.. I think that it would take off here.. yes your cars will get more mileage.. but the membership means everyone would do it because they can afford it. They don't have to be all luxury. Just nice cars. I promise you will get a lot more revenue in somerset too. I'm just saying you should look into it.. I'm not a businessman. And I barely know anything about that side of it.
