What this guy said about some celebrities wanting things for free, or at a discounted rate is true. I was helping a buddy out in a kitchen he rented out in a club to make some money, in comes Yancey Thigpen, who used to play for the Pittsburgh Steelers at that time. He comes up to me and ask " could he have a discount on some food?" I said "no." He then says to me " do you know who I am?" I said " yeah, you're Yancey Thigpen from the Steelers." But you're going to have to pay full price like everyone else in the club because you can afford it. He caught an attitude all because I would not give him a discount on a meal that cost $10.00 at the time, walked away and stated " that's why my food was not to going to sale anyways. I replied " I will sell out before the night is over because it's a club and people will want to eat either while they are still clubbing, or they will take it to go happy they wont have to find some place else to eat after they danced, drank, smoked and whatever." Yes My kitchen sold out of food before the night was over. My day job though was at a restaurant that was really known for its food and the atmosphere, and I had celebrities come in and would demand that I give them a table even though we were booked with reservations all because of who they were. They would come in and say " I need a table." I would reply with " sorry we have a ton of reservations and I cannot seat you at this moment." Their reply " do you know who I am?" Granted there where times when I broke the rule for a few because they did not come with the " do you know who I am?" Crap. They understood that if I could help them I would.

I was actually on set for Micheal Bay's Transformers. It was quite interesting. The legs for Megatron were made in practical sculpture, and cost $300,000. They were on screen for about 4 seconds. They did them in practical effects so that scientists could be walking around underneath them and adjusting things. The guy who made them said that the art of practical effects making is dying out as it's a trade skill, passed down by other tradesmen, and everything is going CG these days, so there's really not many people learning it, and the old guys are dying out... so... it's a niche market - but lucrative if you're in the LA area and artistic. Go to Playa Vista and apply.

And he says what are you talking about, no I’m talking about Bill Parcels! My heart dropped I realized omg that wasn’t my principal and I know him cus he’s fricken Bill Parcels!!
