@@zoneoutzone6373 well, kind of. Not really. NASCAR uses Sonoco Green E15 blend fuel. It's a 98 octane fuel containing 15% ethanol. It drops emissions of greenhouse gasses down 46% when compared to regular E10 unleaded pump fuel.

Also, Lars, I don't think you understand the role motorsports has on the development of new technologies for consumer automotive products. It's far too important to just stop racing. What do you propose vehicles run on? Hydrogen isn't really an option for a miriad of reasons, and electric vehicles are also determental to the environment. What other options do you have? Diesel? It's a cleaner fuel than gasoline, in terms of greenhouse gas productions.
