Introducing a whole bench of impact players… risky but time and again worthwhile💪
@leareilbuys33114 ай бұрын
They truly revolutionized the bench mindset. I used to get pissed when I was picked on the bench. When I eventually got to play, the opposition could feel my anger 😠.

Liking them is an understatement i luv them with a passion, our blood is green with a touch of gold 🇿🇦

Yes. I moved to Australia a long time ago and I still get peeved when th aussies refer to their colours as baggy green and gold just because golden green sounds kak. Like you say we are green with a bit of gold or yellow

"You don't call it the bomb squad for nothing." I felt that Duane, now I understand why they chased Mapimpi away during the bomb squad selfie in 2019. They made being a reserve a serious importance.

I love the being upset to not being picked on the bench. Everyone wanted to start until they heard about the bomb squad. Now everyone's disappointed to start.

RG Snyman, a monster! I used to think Bakkies Botha was a very important piece of the puzzle, I was of the belief that he could never be replaced…next thing they bring this giant monster of a man! If he was a bully and at my school, I’d look for him to hand him my lunch money, can’t risk having him looking for me!!! I’d bloody search my own pockets for him and give everything!!!

Springboks...inovators of rugby not followers. Changing rules of the game to neutralise the boks won't work. This group is very special. Watchout for the boks come 2027.
@morrisanderson8183 ай бұрын
They suit the NH game, going to be interesting this 024 season.how their bomb squad will go, especially now the ABs have a real Rugby brain's coach, can't wait.
@davesmith8262 ай бұрын
Yup, and it's going to get even more interesting now that SA have a New Zealand attack coach. The Boks are going to change the way they play for the next World Cup, but they won't do it immediately or reveal all of their hand until the World Cup. What we'll see, as we did after 2019, is a gradual shift in direction and a lot of experimentation with line ups and combinations. Rassie and co. used more players in more positions in the years leading up to 2023 than any other side. While Ireland and New Zealand worked on playing a single style with their best 23s, SA used internationals to blood youngsters and oldies (like Fourie) who had never won caps. It was a smart strategy that led to a lot of predictable complaints in the world cup itself, largely because the opposition didn't have the time to prepare for what was coming their way. The game of rugby needs innovators like this to make it more exciting. Scott Robertson is an elite coach who will turn the ABs around in no time, but more than that will bring back the explosive mix of running rugby and tactical brilliance that characterised the great New Zealand sides of 2011-15. If the clowns running World Rugby had half a brain between them, they would recognise the value that both styles bring to the game of union.

Added so much more substance to the game. Risky but will pay off well if you know what you're doing.
