I don’t see the file for the lid design with the grid ?
@mjetdevelopment3 ай бұрын
@@Thequestdude I found the grid was completely pointless and its layers separated from the main surface anyway, so I removed it for the newer versions.

This boat is epic I just finished mine and it works great much better than any i've purchased from a hobby store

put some silicon grease around where the lid closes and it will be more sield. But the result is super already

Just printed my TPU lid using 85A Siraya Tech Flex TPU clear (Amazon) on my Bambu X1 Carbon. Printed beautifully, used your Medium stl file. Can tell it's going to be very water tight like yours :-). Still assembling my boat, very impressed with all you've done. One question- have you considered splitting some of the parts like the pilots into pieces? It would be fun to be able to use the AMS to print skin, helmet, rollbar, steering wheel, clothes colors on those parts without having to go in an try to do it manually. Can't wait to see the working V8 butterfly valves :-)
@mjetdevelopment4 ай бұрын
Glad to hear it's working well for you! Some people successfuly used the AMS to print the pilots in colours. Splitting the whole geometry I have is a bit difficult, CAD is not the best tool for modelling organic shapes, but I managed to split the pilots at least so that the bodies, heads and rollcage are separate. Maybe it will help with what you wish to achieve. It's located in the Supersprint MODS folder. Alternatively if you ask in the M-Jet facebook group, maybe someone would be kind enough to send you their 3mf with the colour printing setup. facebook.com/groups/623045356071128

You should make a new body hull design that is like a mini jetboat, so we can run an mjet boat in rapids!
@mjetdevelopment3 ай бұрын
Right now, "TPU Warrior" is in progress. A self-righting hull designed for TPU and the M-Jet 35, with the only goal to be as indestructible in rapids as possible. I will post progress in the M-Jet facebook group: facebook.com/100009280841797/videos/1545589579665387/

Stepan, I'm trying to build a 3d printed 30 inch jet boat with a 40mm jet drive from scratch, what kind of cad softwares do you use to model your jet drives? Should I give it a two stage axial impeller or a single stage mixed flow impeller?
@coolcat4984 ай бұрын
I'm using fusion 360 to model but it feels very limited on how I can model impellers, do you suggest any software to model impellers with like variable pitch?
@mjetdevelopment4 ай бұрын
That's a big one, nice! For me, the two stage pump provides self priming at a level I have never been able to achieve without using two stages. kzbin.info/www/bejne/kHWnaYaggLqslZYsi=5FojAVJQVM6EOfSx Therefore for a fast RC jet driven boat, I personally would always choose two stages, unless a different solution to the priming issue is found. I am using Solidworks. I was using Fusion 360 before, too, but I found it complicated to work with medium to big assemblies. Solidworks works fairly well for me, it's not perfect but I would still recommend it. Regarding the variable pitch, that is one of the features Fusion 360 is incapable of generating in a straightforward process, or at least it was impossible with the version I had back in time. Solidworks can do a progressive pitch spiral. In Fusion, you can still do a workaround, like making the impeller blade from multiple sections, where each section has it's own constant pitch. Good luck!
@coolcat4984 ай бұрын
@mjetdevelopment alright! I'll try out solidworks, for the impeller I'll design two versions one mixed flow single staged ducted and one with two stages, I was also thinking about using generative design for the intake. Probably gonna need to import the whole hull from fusion to solidworks, wish me luck!
@coolcat4984 ай бұрын
@@mjetdevelopment also what kind of version of solidworks do you use? the solidworks for startups? solid works for makers?
@mjetdevelopment4 ай бұрын
@@coolcat498 No, I have an annual 3DExperience Solidworks Standard license. It's pricy but with the current state of the M-Jet project I don't qualify for any of the cheaper licenses. I think Solidworks for makers might be the good fit for you.

Hey stepan I'm trying to build an rc boat powered by a jet drive, I'm thinking about 1000 Watts of power and a 40mm jet drive that I will model myself, are there any videos that can show me what esc, motor, battery, etc. i should get?
@mjetdevelopment4 ай бұрын
Hello, First of all 1000W is not enough for a 40mm pump. If you have 1000W available, I suggest staying at 30-35mm maximum, otherwise the motor will struggle. The most related video to your question I have is this one, maybe it will help: kzbin.info/www/bejne/l4bFnIOsYpZ1rbssi=Fi9sjJYHNNqnE95y
