Xabi Alonso has had a fantastic career as a player: Three Bundesliga titles with Bayern and Champions League wins with Liverpool FC and Real Madrid. The son of a coach learned what it takes to be a top coach under Pep Guardiola, Carlo Ancelotti, Jose Mourinho and Rafael Benitez. With Bayer Leverkusen in 2023/24, he achieved the best start to a season in the club's history, but the story of Xabi Alonso has not finished yet. @420leshrac If players have to be compared based on their roles, why are there no Balon D'or for every position? Why is it won mostly by goalscorers? How did they compare them to defenders to feel they deserve it just for scoring many goals. Goals they didn't provide for themselves
