Superstar Silverback receives cheers from the crowd from the top / Shabani Group

On this day, after breakfast, unusually, the door to the room used by the army to rest until lunch was closed, so Shabani and his group stayed outside.
*The door was opened before lunch, but we did not know why it was closed.
Shabani unusually climbed to the top of the outside playground equipment and was cheered on by many spectators. ☺️

The corner of Shabani's mouth is turned up...he is satisfied and enjoying the audience. Shabani's big smile when she plays with Kiyo is incredible!! Obviously his family is the most important thing to him. Amazing almost human gorilla!!!

I know!!!❤ He's such a sweetheart. I try not to pick favorites since I adore every silverback I watch but Shabani just has a special #1 place in my heart. He's the most empathetic gentle giant I've seen. (Even more than a 100% human man!) I love seeing you guys in the comments, they are always written beautifully.❤❤

Shabani used to entertain the audience at the old enclosure, always made sure that the family got their cardio in.. drummed for the crowd and perfected the famous Shabani kick.. I love going back and rewatching those videos ❤️❤️❤️

Connie, I love watching the old videos too. Shabani use to love showing off and many times he would look at the crowd after a stunt waiting for them to "Ohhh & Ahhh" at him! LOL! The leg kicks & marching in place are hysterical. Shabani no doubt knows the humans are impressed by his antics and gets a boost out of them reacting to him. He is so funny! He use to tease & push Nene to chase him a lot back then and at 1st I felt bad for her because baby Kiyo use to get so upset and often cried out. The crowds loved those chases and then I learned this was Shabani's way of playing with Nene and I could see he craved her attention and this was the way of getting her to interact with him. It seemed he also enjoyed the crowds laughter and sounds as this went on. He is such a doting father now and loves his kids so much. I wish he had more babies because when Annie and Kiyomasa move on, they will all be heartbroken. I think they need to move a younger Female here so Shabani can have a few more Babies. If you ever saw the D'Jeecho group, he has a Female wife named Tayari, she is so funny. She actually goes up and hugs and holds the Silverback, D'J because she loves him so much! Could you imagine Shabani getting a young Female who hugs on him and is in love with him? *( most times Nene looks at Shabani like she wants to stick her foot up his ass!! )* Shabani would be so pumped up and happy. You can see Shabani loves affection from his family and will even gently touch Al or Nene walking by him in hopes they will stay close ( they never do ) For him to have a female wanting to cuddle and dote on him would be the best thing ever for this sweet Silverback. He is too good a Dad and leader to be done having babies and younger females with him. Like humans, we all need things to look forward too to get our spirit lifted and to have hope. Shabani would be like a kid to have a new female or two loving on him. ;-)

@@conniemorgan8402 , Gorillas share our emotions/behaviors so much that many times it is fun to humanize what they are thinking. DJ expressions always cracked me up when Tayari was hugging on him. I think at 1st he was very confused but he took it like a gentlemen. She wasn't taking "NO" for an answer, she wanted to love on him and just took it! LOL! I think Shabani's reaction to a young, pretty and affectionate female would be hysterical. At 1st I think he wouldn't know what the hell was happening, then when he realized she wanted to hug and hold him, Shabani would be so excited and happy he nay just have to do a "Happy Chest Beating session" Shabani loves affection and hoping he gets a young loving female in there to keep those great genes going. ;-) Shabani is so expressive in his poses and facial expressions.I would love seeing this loving Silverback get some foxy females treating him like the Rock Star he is. Those videos would be classic! Fingers crossed! Take care.

I always make my own narrative up to what they might be thinking and saying about the human visitor's staring at them or what they're saying to each other. Shabini poses for the crowd sometimes, and when he rubbed his chin at the top of the climbing frame I imagined he was thinking, "you pay to come and see us but we get free bed, board, wives and family, we're safe and are looked after so go ahead thinking you're luckier on your side of the glass hahaha" Of course they should be free and safe in their own habitat but how long until their species become extinct. I'm grateful that we get to see these wonderful animals from this Creator's Channel who puts the work in for us to enjoy these magnificent animals. ♥️ 🇬🇧 ♥️ .

Very different personalities between the shabani troop and Momotaros troop, shabani plays with his kids a lot, but Momotaro rarely does with his could be age or maturity I’m not sure, very interesting .. but always a joy 😊 to watch these magnificent creatures.

Shabani had a lot of siblings when he grew up he had opportunity to play a lot. Momotaro was rised my mother, just 2 of them lived together up to 6 years old, later Momo lived alone almost 5 yers. He didnot have any chance to play with anyone, and never met any male gorilla, only 2 his sons.

How big is their outside area??? I hope they are not confined in a small space....I hate people gawking at them....wish they were at a sanctuary with room to roam. They must be bored to tears. Description: "African Forest..You can see western gorillas and chimpanzees living in groups, against the background of a rich green forest, which is the pride of our park." There's an amusement park, too. I don't think is a top-notch environment, no matter what the tourist hype. As one site says, "Some visitors might find the size of the enclosures at this otherwise well-kept zoo a little disheartening." Poor Shibani is the main attraction and he's living in a very restrictive, not very enriching way...
