If Deen had taken over fronting Journey when it was first offered, I think they have had multiple hit records with him. He has the soul and swag. If you listen to the other bands he is in, he’s an excellent writer too. He’s not at all just a Steve Perry clone. He has his own groove but obviously he does have the pipes to handle all of Steve’s hits with Journey too.

I liked Arnel with Journey but liked the stuff Deen did just as well. This should've been done years ago though. Journey as it should sound without this and that comparisons to Steve Perry! Give Mr. Pineda his credit he took a lot of undeserved crap!

His name is Deen Castronovo he used to play with journey. He’s a famous drummer so I’m shocked you don’t know who he is. Anyways he’s not hogging anything,this is the way Neil always likes it. Apprantly you haven’t seen many videos with the two together and don’t know a damn thing about their relationship.

If you see all the videos of this version of Journey, you'd know Gregg sings a lot of the old stuff, and Deen does the ones that Steve Perry did. When Deen was in Journey, he did a lot of the higher register Steve stuff, that Steve Augeri, Jeff Scott Soto and Arnel Pineda couldn't do.
