I been watching you since I was in my 20’s, now I’m 40. I stopped lifting, no excuse other than life happened. The biggest I got in my 20’s was 235, lifting heavy 5-6 times per wk. two months ago I was 270lbs and hadn’t been to the gym in a decade. Started carnivore, now low 240’s and resistance training twice a week. Thanks for the motivation as always!

Unbelievable. I’m proud of you. There is no reason to discontinue activities. Maybe try to get in easy activities. Additionally 2 x per week of 1 hour to 45 minute of training is a good amount.

Bacon over sausage all day here. But i haven’t had it in forever because i think most of it butchered in China, so it’s hard to know what you’re really getting, unless you get a local farmer hook up

Good luck. All the stuff Mark says is good info. I’d suggest resisting the temptation of TRT, Ozempic, or anything which promises easy gains. You’d be surprised how far walking, burpees, pullups, pushups, and pushaways (from the table) will take you. You’ll be proud to have earned it with no extra help, believe me.

How can I start getting back into deadlifts with two bad hips. Should I start above the knee and over time start gradually working my way to the floor? I haven’t done them in about 2 years.
@marksmellybell448
@marksmellybell448 17 күн бұрын
First thing is not say your hips are bad. 2nd thing is to just jump back into deadlift very light. Start with like 95lbs and do 5 sets of 5 reps. Add 1 rep every week for a month or so.

I wish I was addicted to something cool. Being addicted to food is embarrassing. I can’t stop eating for the rest of my life. You need food to live, which sucks because it’s the thing that I have self control issues with the most.

I understand I haven’t been able to do a fast without failing and somehow no matter how much I eat keto/carnivore the few slip ups I have combined with sitting all day driving has led to a lot of fat around my middle which is the only place fat has ever gathered 😢 My first fast in 2017 was for a month and I haven’t even been able to do one last 2 days recently

You don’t need the type of food that you eat to live. Why not swear off processed food? Make a pact, do the war on carbs!

34:20 glute and posterior chain prioritization. when you don't have to control the weight the whole time its easy to shift it into only having to use your hamstrings and quads. so in other words; wanting maximal athleticism is the reason. notice who you have thee ugliest, least athletic looking run in the world? your perspective here on non-box squats is why.

man.. that pain discussion lol.. my right knee ALWAYS hurts. I talked with Ben Patrick and did all the ATG stuff.. just can't get the knee to stop hurting. Apparently it's related to arthritis, so I just have to try and work through the pain. sucks. Not being a fatass in defense of "bulking" is probably a good start haha

I had knee and elbow pain to the point I was wearing a bunch of braces. I just thought I was old. In a separate problem I have gastritis and my Dr told me to start eating sardines. First morning after eating them it was like a light switch was thrown. Nothing hurt. I just thought it was a random lucky day and was grateful. Things started hurting again a couple days later, but then I ate sardines again, and again zero pain. Then it dawned on me. I eat them approximately 2x a week. Haven't worn a brace since. I just buy a decent brand and in water only (no oil). Doesn't have to be anything fancy (I bought them at Walmart and they are about middle of the pack price wise). Good luck.

Man, is this what this channel is now? I haven't watched a Mark Bell video in a while. But is it just two brothers talking about pseudo-science? Miracle drugs, misinformation, and the diet stuff is just gross. If you're someone in pain, do you best to see a doctor & physical therapist. See a dietitian for nutrition information. I hope Mark gets back to fun lifting colab stuff. I've been waiting to watch Meatheads for a while. But, it's probably filled with so much misinformation, they probably can't release it for legal reasons.

My brother and I as well as my podcast are in touch with the best in the world. These Dr and specialists your thinking of rarely have solutions, they often times just prescribe drugs. Nutritionist? Give me a break what high level athlete would ever go to a nutritionist aside from some pros who are forced to. If nutritionist and dietitians were great they would need drugs like Ozemlic. Even aside from that my experience is they study this stuff forever and still don’t understand low carb, keto and carnivore. They also know nothing. About light and dark cycles. I’m ok with your conjecture against what you currently see on this channel. I moved on from some of what I was doing Previously as I saw others get stuck doing the same old thing. Thank you for watching.
