That little plate for hyper extensions has me rolling. I started with a 45lb plate and once I warm up I put another 45 plate, squish them together and do hyperextensions.

Just got meniscectomy. Some other rehab doctor is saying working quads after meniscectomy is bad for the meniscus. Dam guy is basically taking leg day away. Is this really true? I am like what types of leg day can I even have anymore? KZbin is too much sometimes. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Use it or lose it. Movement is the best medicine.

I've had 2 meniscus repairs. I was told on each occasion by the surgeon and the physio it was OK to squat and deadlift and they said get your legs as strong as possible. The only thing they said not to do was endurance stuff like running, for cardio do non wt bearing stuff like swimming or exercise bike.

Awesome guys. Very much appreciated. Hoping this surgery goes right with recovery. Can't wait to get back at it soon. Thanks again.

I have no meniscus and pretty bad osteoarthritis in one knee. I mostly do hack squats and leg press, but also do deadlifts and sumo deadlifts. No running. Quit climbing. Still hiking and rucking and mountain biking. Did that for ten years and am finally thinking of getting a total knee rebuild. I wanna climb again, do the Leadville 100, and quit getting beat in footraces by my granddaughters.

Wonder if you ever considered yoga. It’d take an athlete like you to a new level, and re-define your notion of strength. There’s a reason pro athletes do it. Just sayin’.

I’m down to see lean Mark get stronger than thic Mark ever was, and still be able to do the Zion 100, get his BJJ black belt, and rest in every yoga pose.
