What I really like about you two is that you don't stop these songs 14 times during their play. You review them well and let us hear the song. Disjointed isn't great. Thanks for the review as well.

Agreed. I don't watch reactions if they stop more than once, and I'm not fond of stopping at all. The whole experience becomes tainted. This music, is intended to be listened to without interruption. It's not cookie cutter crap that's made today.

This album is late career, and seems autobiographical: charting the band's desire to go to America, and their struggles, adventures, and observations there. This is my favorite Supertramp record. They made it with a more conventional/accessible sound, which may be why it sounds early to you. It was huge. As for Goodbye Stranger, I love it's story, performance, and fantastic composition, with IMO enough musical ideas for two or three songs. And yes, it's about one night stands, and has one of my favorite lines: "Now I believe in what you say, is the undisputed truth. But I have to have things my own way, to keep me in my youth." There's a lot going on, and each listening gets better. Just transcendent. Thanks guys, all the best to you and yours. ❤

But i didn t see that one...I was in BC. but i saw many bands early 70s and a few in the 80s ! Last show i saw was Rush at the Bell center around 2004 or 5 ...or 6 ! ? can t remember but it was a great show with an intermission in the middle ! 😎

Met Rodger at a New Years day "party" Jan 1 1980. In the middle of Napa Valley. Few people realized what a huge talent he was, just sat in a room full of people he didn't know and practiced (worked?) on his guitar. Those who knew just sat and stared.

This is a band that kind of slips through the cracks. Breakfast in America was a big album for Supertramp. I got to see Roger Hudson of Supertramp with Ringo and his All Star Band . The concerts were about 30 years ago and this is when I really paid attention and realized how great this guy is ! Don't underestimate The many different All Star Bands that Ringo has assembled over the years. 40 years + and he hasn't missed yet! Lots of concert footage and audio available.. Roger Hudson is the shit! You brothers rock and you musically get it. Love you guys channel and what you do!!!

Well done guys not interruption perfection throughout, actual reaction instead of trying to sound like music experts, thank you, appreciate that. others will say it this, but it is late 70s but I don't get the 50s 60 s ref, this is prog rock and so many elements, the solo end is in the top 100 best of all times, its ahead of its time like many Supertamp songs, the instrumentals, the vocals and the song writing is very 70s and ahead of its time, this music will be relevant in the next millennium if we get there, its un date able, eg timeless, only limited by people ignorance.🤘
