Supertramp - School - Raven's Jig arrangement (off-vocal, work in progress for on-vocal)

It's been quiet since November 2019.
Since then, lots of things happened in my life. I moved to a different city, my cat passed away, I published several scientific articles as lead author, I moved to a different country, I started a new job position, I defended my PhD thesis and attained my doctoral degree, I started a postdoctoral position, and oh yeah not to forget covid. It's a mix of good and bad, though mostly good.

I was never 'gone' from KZbin. Though, Raven's Jig and Flan Doll were put in the background for that time. I've been itching to start them up again. As a reminder, these musical groups consist of AKHTS ( / akhtsnozone ) and myself. We play arrangements and covers of songs which we enjoy or look up to, and occasionally we release a music album at Japan Expo (Paris). For now, I want to release an instrumental:

I can't sleep, l don't what to do and then this appears out of nowhere. It brings me back to the time when I played Sims 1 as a child in the early morning hours. When everyone were still asleep, the air cool and refreshed and there was this special quietness outside. I let my Sim get up around 5 am, switched on the radio in the kitchen and let him enjoy a cup of coffee. While I watched how the horizon got brighter and wondered if I will have also such a tiny, quiet and peacefull place for my own.

Only a few people will ever see the full meaning of it. Though, even as a quote as-is it's nice to demarcate the end of life-chapter. A few of my colleagues mentioned that they found it fitting to put there. As for the track in this video 😅, just fooling around. You don't forget how to bike, though I did forget how much time it takes
