“It’s slippery” er no, you didn’t make sure you had all the bundles on your forks when you raised them! Great example of why not to stand anywhere near a forklift operator, or on the opposite side while being unloaded. Once while unloading a truck that had an icy trailer deck the weight release from one side caused the lift from the other side to slide off! Good content. 👍

Flatbed Drivers...sure have a lot of faith with steel loads with winch straps. DJI, real good action cams good price and does what it's supposed to do without problems, I have one. Good video as usual.

Sloppy forklift operator, should have removed from the other side and wouldn't have dropped the small bundle, then he drives over with his forks aiming at you trailer tires. Having been an operator that's a no-no, Really enjoy your videos

Pipe is slippery but that's not caused him to lose that bundle. I have unloaded many steel pipe trucks with a fork truck when I was a lad. I also recently picked up a DJI Action 3 to go along with my 2 GoPro 7 Black cameras. Thanks for the ride along Dan! 🚚👍👍👍

I’m no expert, but what about permanently mounting a (hard-wired) camera to both the headache rack facing to the rear and maybe a windshield one as well facing forward (for accident protection) also hard wired? There are so many choices. That way you would have the benefit of 24/7/365 security. These cameras could be in addition to whatever else you want? Just a thought! I enjoy riding shotgun on all your posts.

Back in the bad ol' days what we would do is after we broke camp & were ready to head for home we would go back and crack the waste valve juuuuuuust a little to get a little dribble going then hit the road. By the time we got home - waste tank would be empty. !

Dan Dan the professional flat deck man. Boy that forklift operator was not on his game. Why he did not go to the other side to do his pick from is beyond me. Most of his lift was on the opposite side. Not a safe forklift operator. I never stood on the opposite side of the trailer when they were unloading. I had a guy I knew was rolling up his straps and a fork lift operator knocked a lift of plywood on top of him from the other side of the trailer. Really like the new camera angles now Dan. Fork lift operator was on the wrong side of the trailer to pick up those bundles. Even on the first lift he didn't have his forks all the way in. Like he wasn't aware of where his forks were. He didn't have a clue.

Like your "Yeah" comment after the fork lift driver said, "It's slippery." Have an idea what you would of liked to say. But once again you're the adult and professional. Luckily that forklift driver didn't damage your trailer. Bet you were concerned going back to the place that damaged your trailer. Although many of us enjoy the loading and unloading process of your job, good protection for you.

I ran an R V shop for 45 years & after 20yrs we had to send or forklift operators to get certified. since we all took turns I drove the 25m. & wrote the test. So you can see why there are lots of greenhorn operators out there. Thanks for the videos Dan. Our family are old time truckers.

That's really cool that Mercer pays the IFTA tax for you, that can really add up. Years ago I worked for a trucking company in Iowa in the office, and part of my job was to calculate the IFTA tax monthly and maintain the computer programs that handled it for the fleet. That can be a big job keeping track of all the mileage and fuel.
