Do like my old boss used to. If you actually SCREW UP (not paying attention, stupid driving etc..) You get the S*** detail for awhile! (I had an incident, dumped a rear trailer of baled corrugated.) For 6 months, I was in the shop power washing trucks and trailers, washing the dirtiest parts when working on engines (By hand), weed pulling, etc.. I did anything I could to get back on the road. Never had another accident with that company in 20+ years! ALso, ended up with the nicest truck of the fleet!

Now I'm not s wiseman, yet I'll shed this wisdom. A better man is a better man for the day. There's multiple contributions to this...one is, that man will take more pride in his work, he'll want to be there. Can be that one to stay late, because he's appreciated. Now the otherside to this is, does he know why he's there as well? Use your dick skidders to establish some funds. Establish bearing. Don't be quick to anger, EVER! Utilize your rational thought as a MAN. This is your time to shine as leader,...Lead. Be wise of your example...some people fall backwards on their own swords.

Lighten the mood , I rented a car in Goodyear a couple days ago , not familiar with the area my GPS sent me west out of town on my return trip to Yuma. It was evening and I was driving along and I says to myself , I recognize those barns . Aha , Bales Hay Farm , I watch the videos during my winter vacation in Yuma . I am a retired rancher/ row crop farmer and I love seeing the wrecks and totally understand the frustration of the stupid accidents , fortunately nothing was too broken. The broken stuff is where the time and money gets serious .

Plus if there was any damage to the trailer, he would be docked that too. Then after it was all paid back, then consider firing him!

@trevor Bryan from Oregon IMPORTANT! kzbin.info/www/bejne/jKDPZKmshLhsi8U Answer to your question! = Your "skid steer quick-attach" style couplers is same as kubota and other machines. Your components are missing the ---safety stops--- at 5:22 when you push down the black levers to lock the pins onto the attachment at ground level, that beveled locking pin is only held in place via coil springs, therefore if your attachment is too heavy, if you push down hard with forks, or backblade with snowplow....the weak springs will travel upwards, overwhelming the whimpy springs, and allow pins to let go of bottom of attachment...thus it falls off suddenly! To fix this you must weld in 1"x1"x1" square steel blocks to stop the pins from being allowed to travel upwards no more then 3/8". The "stop blocks" act as a safety, the only way the locking pins should ever be allowed to travel upwards is if you pull on the black handles and the pin rotates out from underneath those stop blocks. basically a solid square of steel is all it is. Do not try to add more springs or shim them tighter, it is fruitless. you must weld in stops that just barely let the pin swing clear when you push/pull the handles. This advice is free but will save the life of your child or employee when your attachement falls from high above. I would randomly lose my pallet forks for years before I finally figured it out..

It’s sad a driver can’t pay attention!! Looks like the driver doesn’t know his rig (extra trailer)! Never could figure out why companies keep drivers that have 2 accidents in a quarter. 🧐🤔 Breakfast & brush teeth should be done on his time not the company time. 🤮 2 cents thought: doing personal things on work time and technically damaging the bales. Just maybe it’s time to let him go? 🤔🧐

Actually to be a great farm worker takes years of working along with some one who has done this for years. The trainee will see all the dos and don'ts. That is true with operating front end loaders hay baler and hay rake and hay cutters. Driving a truck tractor with doubles that requires a skill that requires working with angles and a very good manager of often very limited space. Just any one who has a Class A commercial drivers license may not be what you need. I figure there was something that distracted your driver? What was it he should have saw the problem before the hay started falling off the trailer. It goes back to working with angles and managing the available space.

No, he was looking at his phone. He was on a straight line path and wandered off the road.

the amount of crap i've seen some people do with truck and trailer with the several (not few, not many) years of driving experience i have... people wrapping their trailer around light poles, going through parking lots they have no business being in and trashing cars in an attempt to get back out, driving up to a fast food drive-through and ending up demolishing the side of the business (because apparently reverse doesn't work in their brain), and of course dropping trailers off into culverts/ditches... but i think continuing to move forward when you can't see what you're doing is definitely at the top of the list for stupid mistakes i think what may have really happened is, he was taking a nap or paying attention to his phone while driving and didn't want to own up to it so he used the "the sun was in my eyes" excuse to "explain" what happened... because i can't believe someone would actually be stupid enough to think "i can't see anything, but i'll keep going anyway because (whatever)"

Hard working employee? A reminder of company policies with clocking in and in yard work only. Employee with a lazy attitude? Sorry but I feel it’s better you find other employment.

Accidents happen to everyone. No one is perfect but i would like to know if the driver was distracted in anyway ex checking his cell phone etc. I have been driving for 30 years and the sun has gotten into my eyes multiple times which some of those times it was so bad i was completely blinded. I am not saying this excuse/reasoning was not valid but you have to keep an open mind here and put yourself into that situation. The safest thing should the sun really played a role here would have been to stop.

I'm an owner operator truck driver and I get these guys who blow by me and driving all crazy and they have the nerve to get on the CB and tell me to get out of the way and let them real professional get by LOL they don't know anything about me or my experience in the trucking world they just automatically assume that they are the man!! And they do stupid stuff like this. Socrates said the wise man knows that he knows nothing!
