Dan I work on a construction site and we use one of those jump packs all the time. That thing will start any of our 12 volt equipment. They hold a charge for a long time. I'm sure it will serve you well. Thanks for the great videos. Be safe out there.

$200.00...😲ouch! Yeah they definitely get you on the service charge...geesh! Definitely good to have an alternate power source on your truck. Glad you were able to get back up and running. Unfortunately some of the lessons or on the fly adjustments made on the road are alittle costly but you always say after that, "Well at least i know what to do next time". Then of course you look at the receipt again and say a few choice words and finally convence your self to chalk it up to doing business as an otr driver. But its also good that you're not hauling cheap freight...lol. Now that would really suck! Safe travels Dan✌

HI Dan, that job site brought back memories. Did a few loads of that foam insulation from Wisconsin. Good loads except it was a high cube tarp job. I loved my Sharp's tarps from Oregon. Hope you get something good out of Florida.

Hi Dan Well you"ll be glad of the warmer weather,being you live in a warmer climate. Yup for $200 you can have your own jump start system. You should see the systems there putting on the new Rv unreal so they are likely putting them in trucks too.!6 house batteries deep cycle and 2/4 motor batteries and they calling them all electric. Think of it your floor of the truck would be all batteries. or two long drawers under you bed that roll out one from each side. Don't laugh that's what they are doing to the rv. A pull through drawer with 16 batteries, 8 from each side to serves them. Solar panels on the roof, wow cool stuff. We {up here in Canada} have been paying 4.50 to 5.00 per/ gallon for fuel for a long time. Even after the flooding in Houston, it went up .30 cents. 2000 miles way. I can see your working your way home for Christmas. Good luck Cheers

Hey Dan! As soon as your video started I knew exactly what you are hauling, Carlisle rubber roofing. Before my injury that put me into a wheelchair, I was the field superintendent for the roofing department for the company I work with. Last Wednesday there was a Mercer flatbed driver making a delivery for us. I seen him when he was leaving. I believe I made this comment before but you may want to have your local shop rebuild your alternator and starter for your generator. It's got to be a lot cheaper than buying new all the time. You should look into getting some of those alternator and starters you have at home rebuilt. I know here in san Antonio its a shop that does them for less then $100

Dan, I went to pick up a truck at a dealer and the battery was zero dead,they came out with a jump box less than the size of a shoebox,it jumped the motor with ease,might be something you could use ,o I just saw you have bought the item.👍

I've got a set of jumping cables that are from welding cable i think theyvare 12 feet long went to auto zone and bought the clamps and built them myself. Very good investment of about 80 dollars. Those autopart store cables all plastic no copper

If you look around 13:01 the front of your hair is yellow. I was thinking Britt put some dye in your hair gel, LoL. I paid $700.00 for tri focal driving glasses and bi focal reading glasses. I got a pair of Polaroid clip on sunglasses from the eye dr. while I was there for $30.00 because I hate changing glasses in the car + trifocal sunglasses are expensive. I now have a pair of clip on sun glasses in each car.

Great Video Yet Again, Based in the UK I have some questions, $200 for a Jump Start !!!, If You had some Jumper cables could you not get another Trucker to give you the Jump ?, Now You have the Battery Charger get some Jumper cables Too. The Crane was Awesome, However in The UK and Europe the Jib/Boom would be facing forward and Not carried on a Trailer/Dolly as That one was, I Take it that this is carried like this in the States due to the Axle weight Regulations..

Most truck engines consume a gallon/hour just idling. Your generator consumes about 1 quart/hour.

Be careful with the cheap glasses though as some state they are shatter resistant but not very good and the scratch resistance is crappy too. Take care of your eyes, when they are gone they are gone. My hay guy used to be a logger and one day the saw flipped a big chip up and did his right eye in. Now he is a pirate.
