Just a suggestion instead of that weatherstripping you might want to try a bead of clear silicone around the edges of the generator door. Let it Harden before you close it. I never had any luck with that weather stripping it always fell off no time. Or you might want to try putting a thin layer of the silicone around the edge and then put the weather stripping on top of it that way you know it's going to stay on their. Anyway thanks for the videos.

To the naysayers, the negative people. Trucks require repairs, maintenance. Sometimes the mechanical failures come at inconvenient times, we get through it. Hi Dan, don't worry about the people that give you grief about not continuing to run the white truck, they don't know what the future will bring either. We all have to make the best decisions that we can with the information that we have available at the time. Fate has a way of biting us in the butt from time to time no matter what we decide. Another thing that I thought of was having the parts fail on the generator on a weekend when you were basically sitting and waiting to go to the shop on Monday is not all bad, you certainly had time to work on those small issues and better there than when they could have left you stranded.

Any truck you buy will need attention. You can do everything obvious in the driveway when you get a new truck home. The initial shakedown run or two always tells what else needs to be done. You fix things, not hold them together with duck tape and zip ties like a lot of people do or flat out ignore it. Staying on top of things and also the ability to do it yourself is a major plus. And yes, some stuff does have to go to garage and takes time. Keep on roll'n, there is good money to be made now.

Hey Dan, great job, people do forget that when you purchase a used vehicle, its broken in for that drivers driving. Now you bought it and your driving it very different than the past driver. So now things are going to start to break. When the truck is finally broken in the way you drive, things will stop breaking.. And then and only then it is now, Your Truck..

Hey Mr. Dan. I’ve got a HUGE WARNING ⚠️ for you sir about that “Dual” bluetooth radio from Walmart. Those little pieces of junk are fire hazards. I was hauling an Oversized Load a few months ago. All the sudden outta nowhere, I started smelling smoke. It was very very thick, strong, potent smelling smoke too. I got on my CB radio to inform my pilots and the rest of my convoy that my truck was on fire. We all pulled over on the off-ramp. I had no idea at the time it was the radio. Anyway, upon inspecting, another driver who has over 30 years experience, reached up and yanked that “Dual” radio outta the hole it was in, and sure enough, that was the problem. The radio had been installed only days prior by a mechanic. If I’m not mistaken it was soldered as well. If I had not been there at that time the whole truck could have went up in smoke. Still I don’t know what exactly caused that to happen. It was a company truck, with a company bought radio in it, installed by a company employee. Anyhow, just a warning. You’ve got a very nice truck there sir. And it would be terrible for it to go down due to a $20 Bluetooth radio. Safe travels out there Driver. ✌️
