Four sets total
Minimal packaging, all writing is in both Chinese and English, no swatch card for interior, no literature in interior. Tubes are held in place in a foam interior- pretty swanky, but not recyclable in my area.
Tubes contain color #, plus pigment info, lightfast info, and opacity.

So all colors in Ocea paradise are Semi Opaque, contain a mica and at least one pigment, and have three stars of lightfastness
Many of the tubes 'burped' so just be careful about that
Swatching:
I wonder how many of these are the supergranulating colors with an additional mica element- I have no problem w that, just curious. That's what I'd do, and expand from there.
Most of these are really cool, one is kinda underwhelming, and the black and gold probably needs to dry out in the half pan to be more effective. Since these are brand new, a lot of the gum arabic kinda settles to the top, and drying half pans can really help with that.
I was hoping for more of a punch of color, but that might improve with drying them in half pans. I may have also worked too wet.
Going to try swatching them more saturated to see if that improves things.
Colors are more saturated, but I seriously think that allowing the half pans to dry out more will really improve how these handle. They aren't bad, at all! I just want more saturation.
Going to dry out the half pans for a few days by the dehumidifier, and then reswatch
After paints have dried out:
Definitely more saturated straight from the pan, easier to work with too. Reactivates quite well! I would recommend doing this.
Into water: Pretty similar, just easier to get that really saturated color. Still disperses out quite a bit.
The better way!
Add your paint, then dab in water- basically work in reverse to get blooms. So this would probably work best on cottonrag paper.

Have you seen Kimberley Cricks review on Supervision watercolors. There light fast colours aren't light fast.Some of there pigments are just unknown as well

I’ve seen it, and it’s such a waste because these colours are so gorgeous 😭 I hope more well-established brands will make more colours like this but with light-fast pigments in the future

I did see it! I get her point, and I'm glad she has a different viewpoint. I think for reproduction these are fine, as well as for like cardmaking, bookmarks, ect- since those are things that would degrade over time anyway. Basically, if you're willing to use alcohol markers or Brusho, these are in that ballpark of light fugitivity.

Initially I thought the same. But as I took a closer look, the pigment information (e.g. PG7, PV23) listed for this set appears to be more lightfast. I'll give it a try :)

I watched Kimberly cricket reviews on these which wasn't good. I emailed this company about them being made with dyes, according to vision they have now changed this. I have a set I bought for christmas and was worried as Kimberly crick said the tubes ended up with hardly any colour or had changed/ faded colours in the tube after a few months. I can tell you without doubt mine havn't changed in the pans I decanted them into or the tubes!!!! I LOVE these paints and have just ordered the ocean and whale. I already have spun sugar, flower fire, and layering colours they are gorgeous although I wish they would re design their boxs so they are easier to open.

the ONLY problem I have with Supervision is they are not very lightfast😭 they are super interesting through but not to be displayed for your arts

I love granulation that also separates by color. It's why colors like Shadow Violet are some of my favorites.

One thing I’d love to see in the next video on these types of paints is gently tipping the paper back and forth so we can see the mica shine, please. Thanks!

by the way the prices on this ones have ski rocket by a lot, a month ago they were only 38$ with free shipping 🤨, so i may hit the brakes for a bit on this ones until they get to their original price or somewhere cheaper maybe 😬, excellent review Becca thank you so much.

Thanks so much, this really helped! A few weeks ago, I bought the Flower Fire set on Amazon, did some swatches & was underwhelmed. Luckily though, I had an empty pan set ready to catch the paint "burps", so I now have a very dry Flower Fire pan set, all ready for me to re-swatch, yay! I may try a few aliexpress sets, since they're sample priced anyhow, so, what's to lose~ BTW, some of the colors in this set are amazing straight out of the tube & they all seem to have varying levels of shine/sparkle. I cannot use super vision brand for my art. It's poor lightfastness is a real disappointment. Can't sell my art then have clients complain about fading.

I am SO THRILLED to know I am not the only one who actually utilized a dehumidifier to speed up/more evenly/effectively dry out my watercolor pans. I do that and pour in 3 layers as well and it’s fantastic and perfect and they are solid and ready to go, even honey based watercolors. . . Another pro tip for honey based paints is to toss one of those little absorbent packs from sneakers or electronics into your palette to absorb excess moisture instead of the paint doing so and it works like a charm and maintains their solid/firm dry state!!!
