I love Andrew Baldwin's narration. So much life. I like the other guys narration. But Andrew Baldwin's is just perfect -- I never see anyone commenting about it. But this guy, Andrew makes it interesting to listen to, he even has his own remarks, different voices and doesn't sound like a robot like most people who do this kind of stuff. I love this channel so much, keep it up, whoever works on this channel. Both people. If there is two people. Either way. Much love to this channel.

I'll be honest. THIS. I mean this is a fantastic video, even your Jim Cameron's Spidey video as well. I feel this was well looked into researching lot of info. And I can sense Joe Zito's comments of his shocked reaction on the slashed budget was from my interview with Zito (which was a complicated process to go through, but it was easy setting it up through his wife, Bobbi - although it was a wonderful interview). And I'll be honest about the takes on a Spidey film. They're vastly interesting to learn. Steve Krantz's take. Oy vey. Way off, haha. I know I did get a chance to access Silliphant papers to which I read his Spider-Man treatments, and it had a robot in it, no Nazis btw, but though the two treatments by Silliphant were awful. Not good. I love Silliphant for Silent Flute, In the Heat of the Night, Towering Inferno, but Spidey - terrible. Leslie Steven's. Intriguing premise. But not for a first Spidey film. But good for a solo horror film if Cannon made it. Stan Lee's treatment/outline (51 pages). I love Stan a lot. But his treatment was so way off imo, haha. Good if it can turned into a comic book like William Gibson's Alien 3. Ted Newsom & John Brancato. Nothing to say about it. Only the words I can say. Absolutely lovely and brilliant. I remember reading it many times and still love it. Barney Cohen (April 1, 1986 draft) - Okay, but a terrible script. Shepard Goldman/Albert Pyun - Not that good. And you can see the many omitted stuff on the pages shows the struggle that Cannon, even Pyun were going through their best to make a Spidey film. By the way, R.I.P. - Albert Pyun... Menahem's (Joseph Goldman) rewrite. Definitely stupid as heck. Ock gets bitten by a spider and when he kidnaps Liz, telling Spidey that he is the true Spider-Man. Frank LaLoggia's treatment. I look back. I liked it at first. But looking back, it's cool, but way off with Pete and Liz cross-dress, way weird. Scott Leva & Steve Webb's script. According to what Scott told me - it was not for Cannon, but it was only written as a spec script. But though, it's a spectacular (no pun intended) script ever written that could've been turned into a audio drama like Dennis Etchison's adaptation of Stephen King's The Mist and William Gibson's Alien 3. I'm glad when I was a teenager, which I look back and it was so wild, that I would research a lot into the history of Spidey in Film. Glad to get Ted Newsom (who unfortunately isn't with us anymore, but he was a wonderful friend on Facebook back in 2015, but very wise, even humorous) and Scott Leva for my podcast in 2016. I did interview Neil Ruttenberg in 2017 but only I could amount to excerpts in my channel. And I was gonna get Zito for my 2016 podcast, but never got the reply from messaging his FB. And once last year I got a chance to call Zito's number, his wife picked up and we talked, and I found out that Zito didn't had a FB. So that was surprising, but she was willing to set up a interview and I did the interview with Joe in late-August, and it was 2 hrs long. Cut it down to 1 hr and 52 mins. Had sent it to them to get it approved than just releasing it. They both loved it - but Joe had suggested something to which I felt the way I cut it is the best way I had to do. It may had to do with my first question to Joe, to which in the final version I trimmed the introduction to myself asking the first question. But though, it was a wonderful interview still. Anyway of long talk, haha... To the fellow who runs Supervoid Cinema. Fantastic job on the video!!!

It’s funny to me listening to some of these older comic book adaptation pitches and how batshit they were. Like the one where Spiderman was going to be ninja. Or having Spiderman fight a robot and Nazis. I think just because these executives didn’t take it seriously and thought they had to do more to make it profitable. You can tell in a lot of old pitches they never read a comic in their life lol

This is genuinely fascinating stuff. I personally found the mutant horror version of Spider-Man really interesting, but it would have been a flop. I can barely hear some of the narrations in these videos. I think it would be helpful if you guys can get a better recording device or increase the volume a bit. I had no idea what was said at around 49:17 or 1:00:17 as examples. I have to skip ten seconds earlier at least a dozen times per video. I would really appreciate it if you guys improved your audio.

What's nuts is that if anyone of these shlocky treatments would have been released in 86, would we like them now because they were so laughably bad, Ala Superman IV?

Damn... Jim Shooter's treatment is unfilmable. Hell, I'm not sure it would even fly in the comics. (Not for one issue anyway). What was he thinking?

I loved the video, tons of things I had never heard about. One thing, at times the music is way too loud, it even drowns the voice. Maybe it's my headphones sucking, but even if it's on my side I think it might be a bit too close even in ideal conditions.

Yeah, through my laptop it sounded okay but listening to it once uploaded, through headphones it's way too loud, hopefully I can improve with the next one.

@@SupervoidCinema Let's aim a bit higher. Hopefully you get the attention you deserve and the big bucks to hire someone just for sound design. And someone else to edit, and another one to massage you or something.

Great to see some concept art and storyboards! Where did you get them from?

The Nikita Knatz storyboards were sold on a movie memorabilia site, mislabelled as Raimi boards due to Sony's ownership of everything and other sketches were from an old issue of Cinefantisque covering the history prior to the 2002 Spider-Man release.

You mentioned it was to be cinematic debut but in the UK I saw 3 Spider-man films at the cinema in the late 70s to early 80s; The Amazing Spider-man followed by Spider-man Strikes Back and Spider-man: The Dragon's Challenge, which I'm aware were shown on CBS in the US but were in cinemas all around the world. I feel very lucky they were because I loved seeing them on the BIG screen as opposed to a 21" TV with adverts throughout......
