For those wondering about YT premieres: I plan to do one once every week or two. I chose this video because I paid money for the models and animation, and spent considerable time on it, making it well suited for a premiere. For those wondering what a premiere is - the first showing of a new video is live, and fans join in. It doesn't mean the video is uploaded any later (it would have been live at 5EST regardless), it just means you can talk with me before hand and during. Cheers!

Thrawn vs Ender (Ender's Game) Starkiller also had the sun siphoning ability of the Starforge
@cass74486 жыл бұрын
IIRC the consensus in that matchup was that bloodlusted Ender would stomp Thrawn, but otherwise Thrawn would stomp by using Ender's psychology against him.
@TheMindRobber426 жыл бұрын
@@cass7448 I honestly don't see how Thrawn could use that during a battle. Maybe over the length of a war, but honestly I think Ender would win before that. If you want my tactical analysis of Ender from both the book and the movie, he almost never did the same move twice, and he never did one three times. Thrawn might be good at analysing, but it's hard to extrapolate from one point of data. Thrawn, on the other hand had at least one move that I know of that he was particularly famous for: the pincer thing with the interdictors. There were probably more, but none come to mind and I'm not looking them up. Even being known for a single plan would make that unusable against someone of Ender's caliber, and if he had more than one, then that's even less Thrawn could do. I guess my real point of suggesting this versus is because I see Ender as a realistic and more logical version of Thrawn. If you knew and could appreciate every facet of your enemy, could you destroy them without mercy, like Thrawn supposedly does?
@cass74486 жыл бұрын

My favorite is the Star Forge. It is by far the most practical of all these superweapons, and I really like the lore behind it... I can't help but wonder if the Star Forge could still exist in the Clone Wars and Galactic Civil War eras, either as a reconstruction created by Palpatine to provide the raw materials needed for the Imperial fleet, or something rediscovered by the Separatists during the Clone Wars and used to bolster their fleets. We do know that Rakatan technology- such as the Star Maps- has the ability to self-repair, and the Star Forge itself draws power from the Dark Side of the Force.... with that in mind, it could be possible that the Star Forge might have slowly reassembled itself in the 4,000 years between the end of the Jedi Civil War and the Clone Wars. It would make for an interesting story arc in the returning Clone Wars animated series IMO, and would be a perfect opportunity to re-introduce fan-favorite characters like Darth Revan into Star Wars canon.
@ltb13456 жыл бұрын
True, but in Legends the Star Forge blew up near a sun, so all of its pieces would've probably been burned away completely before they could start reforming.
@Aurik-Kal-Durin6 жыл бұрын
@@ltb1345 Keep in mind, we don't know what the Star Forge was made of. Who knows, maybe in the Star Wars universe, there are metals that can withstand even the intense heat of the sun, maybe a type of ore that can only be shaped using the Force... which would make sense for the Star Forge, considering it was built by a culture of Force-sensitive aliens who used the Force to power all of their technology.

Pretty good, but some notes: - As people have pointed out, Star Forge was an ancient Rakatan weapon. That'd make it almost as old as the Centerpoint station. - The controversy about Death Star size comes from the analysis some guy made from the original footage and deduced that DS2 must be 900 km in diameter. The official size has always been 160 km. - Centerpoint Station really wasn't built to be a weapon, but it's simply powerful enough to be used as one. - The original Walt Simonson art never showed Tarkin in its entirety, so I consider the current depictions of it something of a retcon. I personally always imagined it being more cylindrical. Some other superweapons or superweaponesque things: - The Corsair. Naga Sadow's battleship with powerful Force-enchancing Sith machinery that can rip a core off a star and cause it to go supernova if used by a powerful enough Force wielder. - Orbital nightcloak. An array of satellites that completely blocks the the planet off the sunlight, causing it to slowly freeze. It is easy to destroy, so it only works against planets with no space flight capacities. - World Devastators are also considered superweapons by some, though I guess that is debatable.

Superweapons are a dime-a-dozen to antagonists. With how easily they seem to come, why couldn't the New Republic put together something like another Galaxy gun, Eclipse, or Tarkin for the Yuuzhan Vong? Considering Centerpoint Station, I doubt that any of them would've been ineffective or even cost inefficient. I know you'll get to this in the finale of the Vong sub-series. Won't stop me from going through the motions though. Anyways: Can you breakdown what is by far the largest space battle in the entire franchise? *The* *Battle* *of* *Yuuzhan'tar!* I have made this request: Ninty-nine times. Hi I pixel measured the Star Forge: Considering the first image provided of the Star Forge in the small video clips in KOTOR (the Ebon Hawk flies towards the sun and the Star Forge) and considering the following seconds after the first shot of the Star Forge (A upwards tilde of the camera from the surface of the sun towards the visible star forge), one can make the valid assumption, that the appearing size of the Star Forge should be around 47 000 km (if the sun has the about the same radius as ours ~700 000km) considering the second shot rules out, that the first shot is a confusing perspective like a Merkur transit in front of the sun. But then again, in the final Space fight, Republic capital ships fly very close to the structure and contradict the assumption of the gigantic size of the Star Forge :/
