Only credits I've ever spent were free credits from login bonuses, maintenance gifts, etc, and I'm WM38+ been a player since season 1. Since survivor game mode came out I've been moving tiers pretty quick, I always get 1-4th place, and I always grind out the PvP for tier 6/7 ALWAYS!
