Glad we have some new superman movies.Looks like its going for a more positive Chris Reeves type of vibe. Noone questioned religion and universe or protested 'superman' It was like hey this super cool guy is here from another planet and helps people. We totally like him. Now its all like go back to your planet we don't want you here helping people and doing good things. Sad cause Henry Cavill was great but the story lines were terrible. Pray that they just stick to the script on this one. Truth,justice and the american way works 100% of the time. Also cannot believe it took them so long to realize that.

That theme just projects a positivity that the recent movies did not have. People like superman, they don't argue about whether there should be one. The guy is a good guy and does good stuff. Noone cares that he is from some blown up planet and thats why it works.

Man Of Steel had: -great music/score -great acting from Michael Shannon,Russell Crowe,Henry Cavill -decent attempt at showing Superman's origin -controversial but underrated ending(he was obviously an immature Superman at the end of the movie,not the experienced Superman we all know which was the point of the neck breaking) -GREAT action scenes (Smallville battle,Flight scene,Zod vs Clark part 1)

I follow Batman comics more than Superman. What you said about the world needing this movie right now is 100% true for me though. I’ve been very anxious and melancholy as of late, and indulging in Superman stories has been one of my coping mechanisms. It makes perfect sense when you remember that Superman was created in the shadow of the rise of the Nazis and the buildup to WWII. Superman is written as a genuinely good person, who uses his immense power to protect the weak. He does it not for power or glory, but because he believes in humanity’s potential to better ourselves. In the real world, we don’t have a superhero to swoop down and save us from our problems, but these stories fuel our imagination to dream and fight for a better world. We can do amazing things if we put in the effort, we just need a little hope sometimes. I think this movie can help with that.
