I disagree on the algae supplements after studying cyanobacteria and how those toxins affect dogs and people. Most people don't realize that spirulina is a blue green algae that can produce serious toxins. Too many companies do not study for those toxins, which can then contribute to more health issues for the animal.

Just make sure your product is third party tested for microbials.

@@DogsNaturallyMagazineDNM And will the package state it has been third party tested? Thank you. Also, would these chinese herbs have any adverse effects on my senior Chihuahua if by watching my baby's circling counterclockwise, clockwise, pacing back and forth, stopping her pacing and just standing there, seemingly spacing out at a corner and even stopping mid floor and, stumbling he has told me he feels she has a brain tumor going on. He left it up to me to have n MRI but explained if I do, what then? Yes, I would have a confirmation of one but, no surgery would be performed on her. (My baby is 17 years old. I have had her since she was 6 weeks old). So my question is, if she does not have a brain tumor, will giving her the Chinese herbs cause issues for her? The other thing she has going on is she fell off my bed which sits 2 1/2 feet from the floor and she has fractured her lower jaw. Left side of jaw towards the back and, he wants to do surgery on her to wire her jaw in that area together and extract teeth as he says he feels she fractured jaw because she has a gum infection and it weakened the bone around those teeth. He prescribed antibiotic (Clavamox liquid). And pain medication/Anti-inflammatory (Meloxicam) for her fractured jaw pain and inflammation she may experience. Thank you for any information you may be able to give me regarding her suspected brain tumor and herbs that may help shrink it. I am concerned if surgery on her jaw may hurt her brain tumor more than help when he suspects she has a small brain tumor going on? Will one have anything to do with the other? She is eating soft foods and, eats a lot but, he said she has lost weight? I do not understand why when her appetite is as it has always been. She still loves going for walks outside, she loves going on the grass and sniffing around and will go pee out there. (Long ago I switched from a collar and leash to a vest harness because I learned Chihuahua's have small trachea's to begin with as do most other small dogs and sometimes, as they get older they have problems with collapsed trachea's and, I did not want that to be one of her problems later in life. No idea if that helped or not but, no issues with a collapsed trachea in her 17 yrs.

@@ljf7125 You typically have to email the company for this. Anaesthetic is really hard on dogs with brain tumors ... and many dogs with tumors are constantly famished because the tumor eats us so many of their nutrients. Have you considered working with a homeopathic vet? Many can do phone consults and that might be your best avenue. Best of luck!

Is it ok to do all of these if my Labrador is already on kepra??
@trishhibberd223 жыл бұрын
Our dog has been on Keppra since Dec 2020 and takes CBD and Chinese herbs, recommended by our holistic vet, and he’s doing well! Our neurologist said they were ok too but they didn’t have specifics on TCVM like our vet.

Do you use CBD oil as a preventive supplement for seizures or give your dog CBD when they begin to have a seizure?
@DogsNaturallyMagazineDNM3 жыл бұрын
If you want to prevent seizures, it's best to focus on the biggest causes such as over-vaccination and toxins.

@@DogsNaturallyMagazineDNMIt is helpful to find something that can be used that’s not damaging to the liver or kidneys. I accepted a rescue that started having seizures after the first “owner” administered NexGuard I’m sooo relieved we have gone off of Keppra & on to a (3rd party lab tested) quality CBD oil. It’s more expensive than the pharmaceutical drugs but healthier.

@@Risingmoonranch8 chemicals like pesticides can cause a dog to have seizures & they blame it on the owners saying they shouldn’t use their product in a dog that has seizures. The problem is the owner doesn’t know the dog will have a seizure until they have one. It is disgusting that the pesticide company adds insult to injury by blaming the owner instead of taking responsibility for selling their product to an unsuspecting public. In answering your question I use 3rd party lab tested CBD oil to prevent seizures in a dog that was on Keppra to stop seizures from occurring that were caused by NexGuard. I think the way to prevent seizures from happening is to do your own investigation before using pesticides as most vets don’t warn their customers of the research. Avoid over vaccinations. It’s better to stop the potential causes and use CBD as a medicinal supplement for the numerous health conditions it has been found to be helpful e.g., seizures, cancer, arthritis.....
