It was far more than half. They showed dissent by nearly half voting for those absurd amendments. We know what would happen if either Trump was elected or even if most of those who voted for the amendments stay in the House. We the People cannot let either of those things happen.

I am overjoyed at the aid package. However, Ukraine should try to live in the future with EUROPEAN support. Europe will have had time to mobilize. This buys time until that mobilization. But, Ukraine cannot count on getting another friendly Speaker, that's all.

Well, they could hardly have a less friendly speaker than Moscow Mike "Tiny" Johnson, who held up the aid for seven months, and had to be dragged screaming into providing any at all - and if he had just put the bipartisan bill which is still on his desk to a vote it would be on Joe Biden's desk now, instead of having to back through the Senate. And that would have allowed border security funding which the objectors were insisting was a far higher priority than anything, but don't even have a bill on now. I think it proves Mark Twain's comment that the man is a Congressman and an idiot - but I repeat myself.

The majority of the aid had time to collect and be prepared for shipping. There is a very large volume (including millions or artillery shells and thousands of Patriot missiles) on its way. Technically it can’t be sent to Ukraine until the POTUS signs it but I’m willing to bet it is already very close. In Europe most likely. I hope!!! 🤞🏻 There will definitely be a plan to get it into Ukraine unexpectedly so Russia can’t bomb it as it arrives. They will certainly try.

I am very pro-Ukraine but money gets used very quickly when peace time wages are paid to officials & such, they should take pay cuts & track how money is used. This privileged arrogance may sound demanding & alienate donors; aid is not a right but very important moral support. In war you must cut your coat according to your cloth & monitor expenses to check the donations are not misused. Britain had food stamps in WW2 & women made ammunition in factories with the surplus, it had far less funds & weapons than the Nazis which also made Britain a target; inventive tactics & innovation had to be employed to win. Slow gliding missiles or drones are large & could be tracked by early warning radar for interception.
