Earlier this year-and for the first time in our organization’s history, we were thrilled to award $50,000 in grants to five incredible local organizations dedicated to ending hunger in their communities. Our 2024 Zero Hunger Grant: Creating Stronger Hunger Free Communities was made possible due to the critical support from donors like you.
This year’s recipients were:
Second Harvest Food Bank of Northeast Tennessee: Forming a Food Equity Task Force to create actionable plans for hunger equity.
Community Food Advocates: Establishing a coalition to improve grocery access in NYC’s low-income areas.
Livingston County United Way: Producing “Z-Cards” to connect individuals with essential resources.
Arizona Food Bank Network: Assessing food insecurity among the queer community to drive collective action.
San Diego Hunger Coalition: Developing data tools to address gaps in nutrition services.
This Giving Tuesday, we're asking you to help us keep the momentum going. With your generous support, we can increase our grant funding, allowing us to assist a greater number of organizations and drive systemic change in communities throughout the United States. Our goal is to expand our funding to $100,000 and double the support for organizations that are on the front lines of ending hunger in their communities.
