The Rex also has ported baffles so along with its bigger diameter it’s going to be lower back pressure. Would definitely put this up against the Surefire cans for durability.

@troywolverton30673 жыл бұрын
@@gunsnmammons another question/concern I raise is why you didn’t change out the muzzle brake from the last test. The brake broke in half, essentially only utilizing one of the blast chambers, effectively increasing the blast by 2/3 from what a functioning brake would reduce. Just in the name of consistency and fairness

If it was gassed properly it probably would’ve work better longer… it is negligent. Any time the suppressors went on the guns when I was still in, you changed the regulator setting lol. I understand and respect the continuity between tests, just saying that you kind of have to understand it being negligent haha. That’s why gas systems are adjustable: for tuning the weapon to its configuration.
@gunsnmammons3 жыл бұрын
Absolutely, and you got the point we were trying to make by keeping things the same across the board. You are exactly right.

Backpressure issues on a sandman-S? Surprising.
@gunsnmammons3 жыл бұрын
It definitely was giving a significant amount of back pressure.
@westsidecamper3 жыл бұрын
@@gunsnmammons Of course I believe you. Just wondering, do you have backpressure without a silencer on? How does it compare to the other cans you've tried in that regard?
@blainoakes3 жыл бұрын
@@westsidecamper there will always be some level of backpressure because the bullet is heavier than the gas behind it, which slows the expansion, building pressure until the round leaves the muzzle. This is why “dwell time” is an important thing to understand when pairing gas systems to barrel lengths.
