i still own my very first car: 1989 Supra Turbo 5spd Targa in red color/grey interior. blew the headgasket at 144k miles, ordered a low mileage jdm 7m and put in a cometic mls gasket, arp bolts torqued to 90lbs! No issues at all after that, best damn car i have ever owned since the last 15yrs. Currently the mk3 sits in a garage with a 7267 turbo on it and boosted to 28psi, never dyno'd it and was all street tune with apexi afc and wideband but plans to go aem v2 standalone and lower the boost a little just to be safer as my daily. Stock internals? i have an 1992 mk3 with 132tkm. Headgasket has been done at 100tkm but they used the same bolts dont know how well this holds together.

@@nicoleibundgut534 dunno about the gte, but the na engine is perfectly fine with arp studs + oem gasket. There's one guy who has the turbo and did studs + oem gasket and regularly drives it hard, done so for 50,000 km since redoing the gasket and no issues. it's also worth noting, the oem head bolts are NOT torque to yield/stretch bolts. they can be reused, or at least, the factory manual does NOT specify them as a single use part

+Matthew Billman fix bigger oil cooler and move oilfilter. steel head gasket and aftertmarket ecu with pro tuning stock topp and bottom can handel about 600hp and more but over 650 you can risk the piston . gearbox can handle about 750wnm about 850nm but most importent is tuning good tuning and 7mgte hold for massive power,

Stock R154 5 speed tranny can hold any power you want to make.
