Turbo was definetly MVP. He won middle, than helped win bottom water, than helped win top water, than nailed it with the GC + nukes. And I can barely with against a hard AI. Amazing!!!!

Yeah, he is the corner stone of team 2 right there. If he was killed, team 2 lost a major vanguard to shield them from the south navy and the land push.

I'd say a great job. You survived for a while after total navel loss and had a chance, they had no direct answer to the mavors, only a ground based assault had a chance, if it didn't get nuked....

It was good game, but You cannot win with artillery. Not against pro player, because they are mostly mobile on map. Artillery is too static.

Gotta love how Aurand’s team does everything they can to get him to safety and he just stands there like a muppet until the inevitable bomber comes by to end him. That ending was beyond epic though! Riveting stuff!

I do love the holy trinity you see on setons. Air, sea, land. Makes for a very dynamic map. The battle lines constantly shifting, causing opportunities on both sides. Definitely a epic in this. Thanks Gyle. :)

Not to take anything away from anybody, but honestly that submarine attack was kinda my favorite play in this whole thing. Turned a stalemate into a win for the top team, and the fact that not 1 but 2 Mavors were not enough is a testament to this game's scale. Also, props to that first UEF player going out on the causeway; he was clearly up against it in this match, and he did really well playing right on the knife's edge, but top team just had a little too much coordination. Damn, I love this game, and I've never even played it!

i find it incredible that even after 12 years, there is no competition in sight for SC. when it came out i was exited to see what people would come up with to try and dethrone it, but nothing came, noone even tried..... so weird.

I think the reason for this is that it is a reasonably niche game, so it does not have the market share to make it profitable right now. :(

I agree. I have actually just started watching these since last december (2019), so I have them all fairly fresh and memory, and this was by far the most epic Epic. Second place would be that one where this player also really dug himself in, and the Aeon opponent went for a couple of teleporting SCUs to erect a GC right in the back of his base in just a couple of seconds using their sacrifice upgrade. That was awesome.

well, if team 1 havent had turbo2 who just CARRIED the two blue players, this would have been gone a VERY different way. the skill difference from 14xx and 15xx rated players to those 18xx+ is just huge and it was shown a few times and now again. props to team 2 who are clearly winner of hearts if not game!

I don't necessarily agree to be fair. Both blues were playing alright, but most of all, they had a really good sense of collaboration with their team. Paid attention to sharing engineers, coordinating attacks... While in the mean time, all team 2 had was a cowboy who got wrecked on the causeway and blamed the strat (where really, that last T2 PD would've exterminated it him had it not decided to target a T1 tank) and spent his time thoroughly whining about how the others played, the weaker player and green + orange. Honestly, I really feel like team 1 owes victory as much to red's skill as it does to the fact they weren't asshats to each other

The last 30mins of this is SupCom at its absolute finest. What a fucking game GPG have made. The southern defence seemed nigh invulnerable, the final push was epic. The nuclear strikes with oh-so-many anti-nuke firing to counter them. I was on the edge of my seat!

Wow, really Epic Game @Gyle! Perfect analysis at 50:44 Submerged tempests have very high torpedo DPS and torpedo defense so they would easy won top sea. With so many Naval Factories, green players could have over 305 T1 subs (11K DPS) for price of 5 tempests (4K DPS) and won top sea much faster.

thing is this game was almost certainly won by top team when south's mid died; no amount of firebase can hold vs t3 navy (in my somewhat limited exerience) and ofc once you lose mid eco, beach has to face rock eco plus their mid so beach is done... once beach falls the other pond won't be far behind as it gets quad-teamed... 's like dominos. so yeah: kudos to them for making it seem like they *might* manage to pull something back, but after losing both ponds there's almost no hope of getting any reclaim from stuff you kill, so it's a tough ask to get anything done. that said i'm amazed two mavors seemed to slow down the top team so little.
