@@exp-eri-mental For me it comes down to spread my artillery and the time (mass and energy consumption included). I feel people will jump immediately to strike a Mavor or Scathis. For the normal T3 artillery I feel people aren't as aggressive to striking it. Although I will say the Scathis is much more of a Game Ender / Game Changer vs the Mavor. If I had to choose between knocking a Scathis or Mavor out, its the Scathis I'll go after hands down.

I loved this epic comeback replay/casting. I truly thought team 2 were done after their last ditch attempt to level the battlefield. The end I thought came from the loss during that massive air engagement where little was achieved for team two. The devastation wrought by that counter duke artillery from blodheir was as subtle as it was effective. It took time to show the level of damage it and the eventual novac satellites caused. Thanks for a fantastic casting as usual gyle.

Now that really was an epic. Visuals like the air engagement at 34:23 and the shot of all the experimentals at 1:00:18 really showcase how beautiful this game is and how wildly ahead of its time. 23:05 was another beautiful moment early on. As for decisive moments I'd argue that 30:04 was pretty important and ultimately the lack of a strat bomber push or something, just anything to counter Blodir was fatal. Team 1 still had UEF tech so I was expecting a counter battery of satellites. Losing 2/3 of your UEF players though definitely caused a severe issue. Needed some T3 engineer trading via transports if you ask me. Get that UEF tech going, 2 satellites per base and its a reverse of the result we got here. Team 2 countered the left side push really well honestly.

The 1:00:18 cinematic look of the ground battle while a squadron of aircraft fly over in formation was so awesome to see, something you'd expect as a cutscene or even a movie. Epic stuff!

Could you imagine what a modern SupCom game would be and look like? With proper multicore support so it wouldn't become a lag fest after 20 minutes? This is still the most epic RTS game out there with ease.

I think you would benefit from the Advanced Reclaim Info mod which, among other things, displays the total mass on the screen when you hold ctrl+shift. So instead of adding up a donut at 30k plus 100 asfs at 100 each, it would display 40,000 at the top of the screen. No mental math. The number changes as you zoom in and out so it is what's on the SCREEN, not what's on the map.

I just noticed, white's name is Haachamachama, that's a semi-famous opening line from the vtuber "Haaachama", like a Japanese live anime-girl who streams on youtube. Its part of an organization called "Hololive" that originated in Japan and has since spread to North America. Its actually quite good entertainment (not as good as you though Gyle :)). Never thought I'd be into it but some of the ASMR streams are godly

i dont think jagged actually did ground fire, the transport was landed and generally if a air unit is landed it counts as a land unit for targeting purposes, so i think the novax could just target the transport directly, if the com wasnt on the transport it would probably have survived as well with how close the shielding was to it

Blodir just found the best late game strat - t3 artillery spam and good eco. And he mastered it. I bet that massive air loss at 34min was intentional by Blodir because they were winning too heavily and he didn't want to end that early. He likes to polish his arty strat :p

@jettoart63392 жыл бұрын
I do think they had chances on breaking through, though it would be really last ditch plan. As in use almost all air forces along with 1 Tzar and other ground forces to attack them head on, use two other Tzars to attack main base...If it's all to take out arty... Honestly they should've tried to beat it out before and heavily focus on it, especially on brief moment when they gained full air superiority.
@r3dp92 жыл бұрын
Once they lost the first base to arty, that was the turning point. Arty is weak versus mobile armies, and strong versus stationary eco that feeds armies. The multi-experimental army with t3 support was certainly impressive, but I agree that air might have been a better way to go. Easier said than done, hindsight and all that.
@jettoart63392 жыл бұрын
Yeah, we're looking at Replay and it's easy to say that kind of stuff for us. They maybe didn't have enough intel, but they sure should've done something.
