Going to make happiness of a conquered region that much more important. Good for preventing rapid expansion of AI / player or slowing rapid expansion of an AI / player. Right now the consensus I see among people. Is you need to make a conquered region a colony first, then throw money at them till your approval rate goes up. Then annex them when you're Happy with it.

Thank you for the update. Will insurgents spawn if I fund an insurgency in another region and will the quality of the insurgents vary based on the amount of funding and equipment provided?

Funding insurgents in another region will certainly increase the chances of them spawning. At present it doesn't specifically change the quality of the insurgency, although that is a good area to look at. We are also looking at some other mechanics that will change the quantity or equipment that the insurgents have available.

Indeed the transport boats kind of need some defense with escorts and such... The partisans might be a good addition to the gameplay experience... just please don't make it annoying to the players like it becomes in EU 4 or Crusader Kings driving me crazy keep spawning over and over again...

For a feature like this there is always the danger it goes from "interesting" to "annoying", so we're hoping we got the balance right, but certainly will be listening to player feedback as well.

Bad game with bad AI. Can't fool the folks that look deep under the hood with the gloss and shine you try to distract with. Any feature almost guaranteed won't work in the game since the AI is unable to manage any of it.

Which leaders for which regions? If you think we've made some poor choices, you should start a thread on the forums so we can engage the community on who they think would be suitable. Since it's 2030, we can't actually be "wrong" until 6 years from now unless someone has a time machine for us to go check it out.
