SUPRISING 1/8th mile STREET times! | Stock C5 Corvette | DRAGY

So today we took the c5 out onto the streets of Mexico to get some baseline dragy runs and I was pleasantly surprised at the results!

It will run into the high 10 seconds in the 1/4 for a stock vehicle that is faster than 96% of anything on the road so it's not fast compared to racecars but it is fast enough

not worth the effort, LS3 has a tiny bit more power on top end can't really feel any difference, Plus the angled rockers on the LS3 may be less reliable. LS2 400/400 is plenty for a 3300 lb car, Never really thought that I needed more power. Maybe at a drag strip. But I couldn't abuse a Corvette anyway. That is what Dodge's are for, Corvette is too nice a driving car to abuse. 285/35-19's cost money.. Even Hankooks or Falkens 07 Z51 2LT Black/Black original owner paid $41K in 12/07. Bone stock only 95k on it.

I Read somewhere that preload the throttle on a c5 make Them slower than just Floor it the harder you can

I was hoping for a 60-130 run, I dont think there is one video on youtube for a stock c5 doing it.....I need a baseline lol.

I have a C5 Z06 and I want to get an auto base C5 to beat on, drive to work etc. This is surprising. I don't think a stock auto C5 is supposed to be that quick. 86 in the 1/8th is like 108-109 in the 1/4. My stock Z06 did 8.2 @ 90 mph in the 1/8th on Dragy with the same 60' and same DA, but a flat road. Seems odd but hopefully I end up with one as quick as that. When I get it i'm just gonna do a 3.42 diff swap, slap on 243 heads and have it tuned.

To my knowledge there wasn't anything besides a muffler delete done to it. But it surprisingly hooked well
