I am still interested in brush videos! One idea would be to use the featured brand on one side of your face and dupes on the other side to show comparisons. Thanks for featuring the Suqqu brushes. Good morning Lexi, I appreciate designated brush videos by Lexi! You highlight their uses in comparison to other brushes, and explain why a particular brush might be more appropriate for certain applications. Video might be on one brand but just as much showcase others, so, it’s full of info! Love that! I suspect you would post immediately the new brush releases and discounts, so, if you are asking in addition to that do we like twice a month a brush video my answer is, whatever is best for you. If having it scheduled allows for a smooth operation, then do that. If your work style thrives on spontaneous inspiration, then go with that or some mix of the two. in terms of overall content of your channel, I’ve never been bored by one of your brush videos and there aren’t that many you tubers doing them, is there? I see lots of possibilities especially when you demonstrate use with hot products of the week. Hope my answer was helpful. -Claire

I love the Suqqu brushes so much as well 😍 !!! I was surprised to see how well they perform compared to goat hair brushes, and I am seriously considering getting back up of the eye brushes, especially the L brush which has quite a unique shape ❤️ Is the Chikuhodo Kazan squirrel series still your favorite now that you have the Suqqu brushes ? I am curious because I want a few of those but still debating 🤔 I'd love to have you upload a fude video on schedule ! Brushes are such an important topic in beauty IMO and your content is always high quality so I'd say keep them coming 👍

I still love the Kazan series as a favorite overall but the Suqqu eye brushes are slightly better in general. I have to say I think both series complement each other well so it is difficult to choose between them. Thank you for the feedback on the schedule!

I use a mix of 1/4 to 1/3 liquid dr. Bronners and water in a foaming soap dispenser which was recommended by Sonia G. I think in general any liquid cleanser will be good.

Such a timely review as I was seriously considering purchasing some of these. By chance do you know if Liberty London sells the squirrel version? I noticed the description of the brushes on their site did not indicate the hair type, so I'm curious.

I love the brush series as I only purchase the natural hair brushes. Years ago they were easier to purchase as many makeup brands sold them at the counter (Chanel, Tom Ford, Trish). But I may not be the norm when it comes to luxury products, so don't schedule around me as I can always adapt to a different schedule.

Hi Lexi, I would like to ask you something about the Suqqu brushes: I bought mine in November 2020 and I am now not sure if they're squirrel, goat or synthetic! I recently found out that they are now all synthetic, and I read somewhere that they were goat before turning synthetic. Do you have any idea or do you know how I can possibly find out? Their site is of no help...

The goat ones were sold at Selfridges. The squirrel were sold at other retailers like Harrods. The squirrel are very very soft, the goat are medium softness, and I haven’t tried the synthetic but you can usually feel or see the texture of the synthetics being different. They switched to synthetic last summer so you probably have goat or squirrel depending where you bought them.

All in November 2020 on Black Friday. I had wanted to buy them for so long and was finally able to buy them then. I bought a couple of back ups to have. I now regret it deeply... The truth is, I haven't even used them much at all. Just a couple of times.

Hi Lexi - have re-watched your video from last year and would really appreciate your advice. I had really really wanted to get the Suqqu cheek brush as it's my birthday in just over a week. I had seen it recently but couldn't afford it so thought I'd wait - big mistake! Are you able to tell me if the Suqqu blush brush is similar to the cheek brush and would it be one that you have and can compare? Is it squirrel hair? I thought I saw somewhere that the Suqqu blush brush was synthetic (which I don't want) I can't seem to find the Suqqu cheek brush available anywhere in the UK and I am so disappointed! (: The Chikuhodo Z4 seems a lot denser and I had wanted the Suqqu Cheek as I like to apply just the lightest touch of blush. Is the Kiwami Cheek brush a good alternative or should I hold out for managing to source the Suqqu cheek in the future? If it is discontinued I will be waiting forever! I saw it on ebay but it is £200! I would never pay more than twice for something and never on ebay so I am a bit stumped. I have the WG Airbrush - which is lovely - but it isn't the same as the Suqqu cheek. Any thoughts/advice you have would be massively welcomed?! Thanks :) x

So the Suqqu squirrel brushes are discontinued and have been replaced with synthetic versions. I don’t know if you will be able to source one without paying a lot. The cheek brush is the blush brush but now it is synthetic. You have a couple of options though. The kyureido kiwami brushes and the fudejapan brushes are essentially the same. They are made by the same manufacturer as well. I have all of them and you really can’t tell a difference between them. The small variations you might see could be attributed to batch issues easily and these are less expensive. They are definitely just as nice imo and fudejapan brushes are all replicas of the suqqu squirrel series. The kyureido kiwami brushes have the L brush, Cheek, and Face brush. If I were you, I would go with one of these brands instead. I will do a brush video soon and go over these again so you can see them. Maybe next week? Let me know if that helps.

@@LexiJong I just watched your video from 22 Aug 2021 and got a good look at the Kyureido Kiwami Cheek brush and you said in that video that you reach for that more often than the Suqqu. I looked at the FudeJapan site and their cheek brush and in the picture it looked longer somehow than the Suqqu one although that might just be on my screen? The picture on their site isn't that great. I was also thinking of getting the Surratt small smokey eye brush - is that smaller than the Beautylish Yano Series 07 smokey eye brush? I have the Yano 07 which I like, but I was hoping the Surratt small smokey eye was smaller than the 07 as I think it would be more helpful on my very hooded crepy eyes - better for precision?

I think over time, these may slowly disappear and they will start making more synthetic brushes but right now it is normal for these to go in and out of stock. Keep checking and they will come back in stock. They aren't going away yet but they are always in high demand.
