There's something that Suramar had in droves, and that was atmosphere. Everything in the zone reflected this feeling of fading. From the music, to the ancient ruins, to the Nightborne slowly dying without mana, to the autumn-coloured trees, to the Starlight Roses that crumbled when you touched them. Suramar, a land far past its prime, living on borrowed time.

Suramar is probably the most aesthetically pleasing city in the game. The colors, the lighting, and architecture - all of it is magical. I can ride around on the canal boats all day in this city.

Legion and Suramar in particular might just be the best work that Blizzard's ever done. The atmosphere, the music, the storyline, the city of Suramar, the first city in this game with the SCALE to go with the name! This is the first expansion that's made me sad knowing that we'll leave it soon. And I've been playing since the start of Classic.

I started with Legion and WoW in general pretty late, to be precise around april 2017. When I hit 110, I immediatly lost a whole lot of interest in the game, as I usually don't like endgame content like this zone. I took a break for a few weeks and came back later, when I suddenly had the urge to play WoW again. I started doing dungeons and other stuff, and eventually I wanted to get my broken isles pathfinder. So I had to do the quests in Suramar, a zone, which I did not touch before and only heard about that it was bland and boring. After questing my way until the required achievement, I now have to say that these people were completely wrong in my opinion. Suramar turned out to be one of - if not THE - the best zones for me in this game. I just love everything about it. The music and ambience, the rich story and lore that existed way back in Warcraft 3, the characters, the quest and their design and especially Suramar City. The whole time you feel like in a long lost civilitation while wandering around the zone, and this aspect gets enhanced by the perfect music. But then you come across this whole intact city, which is now under control of the Burning Legion. I never experienced anything thats nearly like the city in the game. Words can't describe how I feel about sneaking around enemies to gather volunteers for an upcoming revolution, being in the underground organisation that wants to retake their home. It feels so different from other zones where you usually just slaughter your way through enemy lines, but here you have to use your disguise to avoid them actively as they hit very hard. It may not appeal to many players, especially those who like the oldschool-zones, but to me it's one of the most well-designed ones I've encountered so far. Blizzard did a really good job when they designed this zone, and I enjoy every second of it!

I felt and feel the same way. All the others zone had left me bored, just doing quest you don't care, for people you don't know. But when I look what is happening in Suramar, it's amazing and terrifying at the same time. Especially playing as a blood elf, you got to see the "extremist" and fanatict about arcanes. When I did that quest where you have to free a little girl from a cage in the city, and walk with her through demons , I had tears. I wanted to take her on my mount and run. I've been playing for 7 years and I've never been so much touch in the game. This zone is a gift for those who roleplay. You're already at the highest level, and all you need to do is watch and read, as if you would be in a book.

Same here. BM hunter since summer 2017. This was the last Isle I touched. Now that I returned to get Exalted, I looked at my left. Something... No. Someone's missing. Hati is now gone. Forever. The soundtrack didn't help at all, reminding me of the happy moments spent together, but still, being my best memory of the little stupid furball that saved me a while ago. #SaveHati

I was flying over suramar recently doing stuff in legion when I heard the music and started to cry remembering the legion days especially when I spent most of my time there gathering mana or starlight roses or even doing the world quests to get rep so I can get exalted to finish the storyline for pathfinder

I really like how there are different parts to the same songs. Little things like that add a bit of flair to a more specific area-- a quieter version of the same melody inside a building for instance. They really do well with their music, Blizzard.

Yeah, they really focused on top quality music early on by using actual orchestras and choirs of people to play their stuff, and it's really paid off. It produces beautiful, haunting and powerful music that sings to your core being...and it's amazing! I really do love the music Blizz has done for WoW. It gives it soul!

Man, I bought Legion album on ITunes, but it's missing SO much. I bought almost exclusively for Enchanted Nightelves and Requiem for the Lost Cities... only to find out that they, and almost all other music from Suramar are not included in the album. Sure, my mistake, I didn't look into the album. The music I got was good, but I really only wanted the 2 that were not included. FML.

Slow Ham Sounds like a wood wind to me. An oboe or a larger variation.

I think it just sounds like a regular sort of metal flute...but a large one. I don't think it's a wood wind. The ones I've heard sound different...but maybe they weren't big enough. I could be completely wrong though. :P

You should take your time while questing in Suramar. It an absolute rp zone. You were witnessing (and leading) a revolution there. I couldn't fly when I questing Suramar but I enjoyed every moment of it.

When questing in a new area, I read everything I get my hands on. I just thought the storytelling wasn't that interesting in my opinion. Can't really put it into words, I simply just didn't enjoy Suramar as much as I enjoyed the other 4 questing zones.

I suppose it's entirely up to personal taste, but while WoD's background soundtracks are exciting to listen to at first, the endless thundering of drums and powerful feeling gets a little tired after awhile. I can listen to the Teldrassil ambience along with the music even after all these years and listen to it easy, but I have to turn the music off in Draenor. It's just too loud. Music should flow with a zone, not be the most overpowering thing, even if the music is great.
