Could you demonstrate a machine blind hem stitch or is the process the same?

Yes mine does that.

If you don't have a cover stitch machine and you don't want to hem by hand, can you stitch it with the sewing machine using a straight stitch?

Yes, of course that is another option. It just depends on the type of fabric you are using and whether or not this would be an appropriate hem finishing technique.

What types of fabric are and aren't suitable for this type of hem? How would I know if this would be the right hem finishing technique? So much to learn.....
