This is what often happens with older or weaker archetypes, they fuse to become a sum greater than their parts. No one should be surprised by it when things like Invoked Shaddoll Dogmatika and Bird Up exists. My 3rd best Sky Striker list is on a Branded Dogmatika engine, and I run that when I get tired of the 60 card pile or "standard" lists.

Because it's not a proper link summon, just like when you summoning Stardust Dragon under the effect of Starlight Road, it doesn't count as synchro summon. Unless otherwise stated, for example like Instant Fusion that stating “this is treated as a fusion Summon”, then any "cheating" method to special summon monster from extra deck usually doesn't count as proper fusion, synchro, XYZ, link summon. So in the context of this video, Tri-Brigade's effect can bypass Auroradon's link summon lock because it's not a proper link summon, just special summon from the extra deck.
