I'm coming with my dad who was born in 1956 and a huge Buddy Holly fan. We will be driving almost 4 hours from Missouri to see the Surf Ballroom in May or June.

I also was born in 1956 and I was just saying to my sister today that we should go and visit the ballroom and crash site in Clear Lake, lowa. We live in Willmar, MN. 3 hours and 40 minutes away.

I went there every buddy weekend from 1989 to 2009 , some of the best times of my life !! I have a brick in front with my name on it !! It is one awesome place !!!!!!

@Motley Roses yes i have seen La Bamba and the Buddy Holly story, i guess the big bopper was not so great because they never made a movie about him, i have listen to his music , i like some of his songs like little red riding hood
