Love the video. I surf and surf fish. The longer I do both, the more I realize you gotta control what you can control and make good decisions. They're both decision making games. These kind of videos will help me make better decisions when I'm out there or planning a trip. Looking forward to the next one!

Spot on Zeno back in the day here in North Truro before the seal takeover . The bars and cuts, bowls at places like High Head ,Head of The Meadow, Race Point and south was the place to be .You had to learn to read the water, new guys to the area would come into to the shop and say "fished all night nothing happening".My friends had hit them for two hrs at the traps .

Great video Zeno! Understanding how to read the beach and find the structure is typically the hardest thing to learn for lots of folks getting into surf fishing. Once they can figure out what to look for in terms of structure it is a matter of understanding what the bait fish are doing during that time of year with the tides! Great video and really like these longer chats!

Another great video Zeno really appreciate the info to improve my surf fishing! And I'm definitely interested in that video of matching your lure to the particular your bait that the fish are feeding on!

Hi Zeno really enjoyed this video. Structure is always the hardest for surf fishing and it takes time to understand all the different aspects of structure, thanks for your help!! I'm looking for a new surf rod, whats your opinion on the Akios and Vercelli surf rods?

Hi Zeno, I was just wondering if you ever fished Rockaways by breezy point I have very busy life, and I have young child my time is very limited I fish breezy Point area because it’s about a 20 minute drive. Have you ever fished there and do you know what type of structure is there?
@wildman86015 жыл бұрын
Do they require parking passes at breezy like they want in long island?

How’s the fishing at Breezy
@mikemerc744 жыл бұрын
Luke Mantini when their biting it’s hot but all other the times bay side sea robins porgies and fluke. Beach side bass and blues but it’s definitely much harder with the waves and wind.

Hi Zeno. My name is Faisal and live in Saudia Arabia and have read your book, which is great. I am now buying a new good rod and in a lot of rods to choose from and being living this far I cant hold and feel the individual rods and would need your kind guidance as to best rod recommendations for casting from 3/4 ounce to 3 - 4 Ounce range which are very sensitive rods and not just mere broom sticks. Thanks and very kind regards
@SurfcastersJournal5 жыл бұрын
that greatly depends what kind of "action" you want in your rod. Do you want a more moderate bend on cast ot what they can "fast " action where only about one third of the rod bends during cast /fight. I use currently ODM Genessis and find that it woks great the way i fish...zeno
@faisalrafique61075 жыл бұрын
@@SurfcastersJournal thanks Zeno indeed obliged, i truly appreciate the medium bend rods. I wonder if you could kindly recommend on ODM DNA new rods if you have come across as compared to genesis and whilst you recommended a 10 ft alrounder in your book, I wonder if you could kindly recommend the size i should pick. My height is 5 ft 7 and half inches and whether should i go 9ft 0r 10ft version. Thanks once again. Kind regards
@SurfcastersJournal5 жыл бұрын
@@faisalrafique6107 not as familiar with DNA model as with Genesis and not familiar with your fishing to make a specific recommedation. I would contact Steve at ODM via www.odmrods.com

Zeno kindly suggest some good wader options for salt water fishing along with korkers model for salt water. I was thinking of buying stocking foot waders with gravel guards for both jetty fishing and to be used on beach. Surf here is not very heavy... thanks and kind regards
