I've got a 2000 Super Air Nautique 210. Haven't quite got it to where I can surf it, but I'm pretty confident the Surf Mode will get me there!

I have a 2008 MC X1. Finally was able to sort out our surf system this summer but definitely think a Surf Mode system would improve it.

@@Sunni_days I have created 3 or 4 different home made surf gates but found that a single large gate, similar to the surf mode system, placed right at the back seems to work best

@@ianwilson9687 nice. Good discovery. I made a big shaper to connect to the platform of an 2005 X2. Same hull as yours. It worked really well.

@@Sunni_days I tried the platform mounted style as well but found that the single shaper on the back worked best. We also have 750s in the rear lockers, the KGB, two 300s under the front seats and another 300# of steel in the bow

Oh nice, we had a similar ballast configuration. Never tried a suction wake shaper, it would have been interesting to tinker with, 👌. Glad you got it figured out.

That is a great boat to start surfing with. Use to go out on a friends black and silver avalanche. Have you been able to surf without the rope yet?

@@Sunni_days we got it January 2020, pre covid, last great deal of the century!! We have spent most of our time wakeboarding, but surfing in definitley in the near future. I also installed my FAE just about the same time you did your video. The people who had it befor where great owners, the boat is in excellent condition.

@@Sunni_days I bought it in March of this year. I'm doing a big maintenance projcect now that I've put off since I bought it. Changing out shaft seals, strut bearings, rudder seals, etc. I have made a makeshift surf shaper myself using PVC trim. I've used it a few times. It does come off occasionally and it's fairly difficult to put on.

@@Sunni_days I’v had it for 2 years now the family & I absolutely love it. Like you I’ve made a DIY shaper that attaches to the swim platform & it puts out an OK wave. I appreciate the review. I’ve been wondering if the SM is worth the money & how well it suctioned to the boat.

@@ryanmorgan2873 awesome!! That boat is great for families 👍. SurfMode has actually worked really well. I was a bit skeptical to begin with and it took about 5 - 6 times out to get it dialed in, but now it is great. That’s why I made a video about the setup so everyone else with a 210 can get the same wave they see in my videos. Are you still boating now, or are you done for the season?
