This looks like a very clean hotel and very unique that they serve complimentary cheese, wine, and cookies. We're not wine drinkers, but think that it's a nice touch for the hotel to offer that. The breakfast looked really good as well. The balcony view looked peaceful and you can't beat a short walk to the beach, even though it sounds like the hill was a somewhat of a challenge. Thanks for the hotel review and we're glad that y'all had a nice stay at Surf Side Hotel.

Nice beach hotel. We don't drink wine either but we did get some cheese and crackers. The breakfast was better than most that we see at hotels. Such a beautiful and peaceful location. The hill was a challenge because of the sand being deep and not packed. Especially if you are carrying beach items. Thanks for watching!

Surf Side looks like a pretty nice place to stay. You must have filmed a lot of this in the early morning because of the lack of people. We know that Nags Head is crowded. Tina and I have never stayed at a hotel on the obx. If we do, we will, as Carly says, check this place out. Nice footage of the place at the end. Thanks for sharing.

We were surprised that the beach was not that crowded. We filmed the beach late evening/early morning. The crowd was not bad at all. This place is definitely worth checking out. We had a wonderful time!

Great place! I love it! I'm so glad you all got to go to the ocean. I love the sea! Carly looked so cute riding those waves, and the breakfast was very impressive! I have never seen a hotel provide beach chairs. It looks like Surf Side knows how to treat their customers! Thanks for sharing!

We really enjoyed the beach! Something so soothing about listening to those waves. Carly spent a lot of time riding the waves on our short beach getaway. The beach chairs were very nice too. We bought ours with us both used theirs. Very friendly place with lots of extra amenities. Thanks for watching!

You were in the Outer Banks!?!? That is so awesome. We hope yall had a great time! We love Nags Head - but have never stayed at Surf Side Hotel. Thanks for giving us an honest review of this place. It looks lovely. I love a hotel that has direct beach access. Two pools and a hot tub and a social hour - those are some great amenities. We can't wait to get to the Outer Banks again sometime this summer!

Thank you all for this review. As we mentioned, we have been talking about getting back to the Outer Banks, and we haven't been there in a long time. We didn't even have a clue where to stay, but this gives us a good start. About how far is this motel from the fishing piers in Nags Head? Because that's where I anticipate spending most of my time.

I actually saw a quick clip of the pier towards the end. Not sure how I missed it. I'm surprised at how calm the waves were. Normally, Nags Head has some of the roughest surf on the east coast.

We really enjoyed our stay here. Everything was nice and clean. We haven't been to this area in a while ourselves so we found this one and it had a good rating on TripAdvisor so we decided to try it. The breakfast was nice to be included in the stay. They had some other extras that were nice as well. We never had any issues with parking and it is convenient to a couple of fishing piers. Nags Head fishing pier is a short drive going back towards Kill Devil Hills and Jennette's Fishing Pier is in sight of the hotel. You can see it just down the beach in the video. Great review great hotel. Summer rates are a little high but drop dramatically in Sept. and Oct. I think we are going to plan a trip in the off season. God Bless and safe travels.

The time to go is definitely in the off season. We just did a quick 2 night trip for our anniversary. Our hands are tied to Carly's school schedule. It should be a little cooler in October too, not sure about September. Thanks for watching and commenting.

It really was Angie. We went for 2 nights for our anniversary and it was wonderful. Definitely go when the rates drop and enjoy this beautiful area. It was so peaceful and relaxing. Really enjoyed our visit to OBX.

Pretty sure I delivered a few pizzas to that hotel when I worked at the Domino's in Kill Devil Hills about 15 years ago. I know you are not too far from many great mini golf courses and some go carts as well. Great public beach access with bathroom and lifeguards at Bonnet street.

I plan on crabbing and fishing Sunday if the rain breaks! Oh, if you like crab cakes, there is a fantastic Crab Cake Sandwich in Smithfield! The place that sells them is called The Smithfield Gourmet Café & Bakery. Deeeelicious! They have a wonderful Remoulade sauce you can request. Omgosh, and they have fresh baked goods that are heavenly! We try to go there on Saturdays because Smithfield has their farmer markets on Saturdays. So much fun! 🤩

Would love to see you visit Rugby Tennessee with the old cemetery, the church, and the old houses. Then go eat at one of the local restaurants or at RM Brooks. RM Brooks is an original country store serving one of the best bologna and onion sandwiches. There is also a Mennonite and Amish community very nearby.

Very nice hotel, had you stayed there before, and if not why did you pick this one ? Loved the narration by David he's very good with the camera and his comments are exceptional! Who's that crazy lady opening the door and jumping on beds, she looks familiar lol. Was that Carly surfing on the shore ? Those rooms were very nice and really liked the balcony. That's nice that they put snacks out with the cheese and cookies. That breakfast was a very nice spread, David's biscuits with gravy was eye appealing. Liked that they had both the pools and a hot tub. I used to have a hot tub delivery service I ran for years , great part time job. I hope you all enjoyed your trip ! God bless 🇺🇸

We enjoyed our stay here. Always love being right on the ocean. It was a last minute trip so we looked to see what all was available at a somewhat affordable price. We liked the looks of the oceanfront hotel and the ratings/reviews on TripAdvisor were very good. This was our first stay and we would definitely stay again. The amenities were great too! The breakfast was better than most hotels in our opinion. Carly’s bed check is always the highlight of our hotel reviews. Yes, that was Carly boogie boarding at the end. She spent lots of time doing that while on the beach. Thanks for watching!
