Really nice to see…..a small water to start……light rod, cork handle, one rod and a screaming clutch…so exciting 👍 As someone who only fishes small waters in the UK (mainly because I am serverly sight impaired), i find this so much better watching than a big bowl in France.

Hey, just discovered you today, as was looking for some surface fishing video, as went at the weekend and have no gear for it, went carp fishing on the bottom, but there were alot on the surface. Awesome video and really like the fact you show some that got off the hook, so we know it's just not us losing fish, alot of these videos never seem to show losses so commend you for that! do love surface fishing, and the tactics/methods used by james down to the knots and methodology of the whole vid is how i fish and have done for years.. did 6 hours yesterday, all 5 from the top, smallest an 8lb with two 12lb's, a 15lb and a 17lb.. the visual aspect makes it so exciting, just waiting for the bread to get sucked in and... boooom! fish on! agreed the wildlife can be an issue.. either chase or shoo them away.. or go an bait up somewhere else for the birds!! bags on bird seed can be good to keep them occupied as it goes down through the layers

Going to be heading out this weekend with my nan to go back to the lake I fished as a kid, been 15 years since I've been there and even though I've got my new pellet waggler setup to try out, still going to have a rod set for free lining bread as that's how I started out and its by far my favorite method! 😁🎣

@lukeharrison9109 Жыл бұрын
Great video got a lot of tips from it. Do you ever find that the carp go for the float? The lake I take my 9 year old daughter to is very un fished and shallow. The carp seem to come up touch the float and then don’t go near the bread hook bait. They take all the free offerings. I reckon that’s got to be how we are presenting the bait?

@mastodonseven Жыл бұрын
@Jimmy’s Gone Fishing - By James Armstrong I'm open to learning something. But isn't it a matter of fact a bared hook stays in better and the actual whole "point" of them. So you can make mistake while paying fish without the hook coming out. What I thought anyway? I don't use them as I don't like the idea of causing unnecessary harm to the fish when ripping them out and this will result in me losing more, but i think its worth it as fishing is cruel enough. So I just look at it as an extra challenge and a little more kind. I'm willing to learn something tho
