I really appreciate your review. I just got mine three days ago and love it! Most shocking to me was the speaker. So many people said that the speaker sucked, but I found it loud, it filled the whole room, and I didn't even have it turned up all the way! I would have liked a comparison between the slim pen and the regular surface pen.

I agree with tranquility base, it's by far the most immersive video review thus far. I look forward too seeing further videos on this device. I feel most are comparing it to a phone when it's a device that makes phone calls. I would like to see how the notification work and how notification work with wireless earphone

Not Only a great in-depth review, but a nice tutorial for actual owners! Agreed.. Hoping that software updates fix issues... I know that Microsoft sent updates since 9/5... I'm waiting on AT&T to finally release their update(s) as this is a Locked version.. For all the unlocked DUO owners... Enjoy! I hope Most of the bugs were fixed! Great video. Did you change the default navigation from using Android gestures to using navigation buttons? I see most reviewers were using gestures instead of the navigation bar at the bottom of the screen?

The gestures were hit and miss for me so I switched to three button navigation. I'm hoping a future update makes the gesture based navigation more reliable. The good news is that the three button navigation has been working great 👍

@@TechisodeTV You and SIL (another KZbin reviewer) amazed me with how quick you both adapted to the DUO right out of the box while other reviewers seemed so frustrated after their 24 hour "impressions". He still has his too.... Actually his daily driver, like me. The DUO is my only device and love it! Looking forward to your video! ANY chance you could do a video or give recommendations on how to mirror my DUO wirelessly to a smart TV? I'm trying to avoid the Chromecast rout.

Can you copy text or photos from one screen and paste to the other in a word document? Like the Courier they promised ten years ago was supposed to do? And the insides are covered in a film, so it does have some water resistance,

One thing I think you missed when talking about the pens is how useless the Note 20 Ultra is for actually taking notes (ironically). You mentioned it'll be easier to write on the Duo but for those who don't own a Note 20 Ultra (I do have one) I feel you should have made it clear the Note is garbage for note taking due to the slim and tall display 😭

Mediocre camera, half-baked software, nothing like DeX mode, no Wireless charging, no MicroSD expansion, no NFC, pale feature-lacking software, last year's processor, etc., all that selling for $1400? Such an overpriced joke. Regardless, great video as always Eric 👍🏽

Thanks! And yeah, there are a lot of places for improvement in both hardware and software. It's definitely a first gen device. I'm hoping Microsoft fixes all of those things with the second generation like Samsung did with the Fold 2. That said, for a first gen device, I've been loving using it... minus the potato camera they threw in there. I've used better cameras on 4+ year old phones. That was a massive oversight and I literally grab any other phone nearby when I want to take a picture.

El surface pen ( pro 4) es lo peor que conozco, he usado durante años un tablet samsung android con s pen (2016) y la escritura resultante es exactamente mi letra, pero hoy día recibí mi surface pro 4 y la escritura es repugnante, pierde toda su expresividad, suavizando la letra hasta hacerla ILEGIBLE. Lo escrito es incomprensible, quien lo use, lo más probable es que quede muy decepcionado. No hay forma de solucionar eso, he visto varios vídeos y en todos los que muestran "escritura", se aprecia exactamente lo mismo. El surface pen provee a todo el que lo use, la misma letra estilizada que apenas se puede entender. Compré el surface para poder usar Word y mi programa de dictado, pero he perdido tomar notas. Una lástima.

The surface pen ( pro 4) is the worst I know, I have used a Samsung android tablet with s pen (2016) for years and the resulting writing is exactly my handwriting, but today I received my surface pro 4 and the writing is disgusting, it loses all its expressiveness, softening the letter until it is ILLIGABLE. The writing is incomprehensible, whoever uses it, most likely, will be very disappointed. There is no way to solve that, I have seen several videos and in all the ones that show "writing", it is exactly the same. The surface pen provides everyone who uses it with the same stylized handwriting that can barely be understood. I bought the surface so I can use Word and my dictation program, but I've lost taking notes. A shame.

When I tried one, only this morning, I wasn't impressed at all. The reason for a fold is to make it portable and flexible and pocketable. It's not, it's too wide to fit in a normal pocket. I tried. I managed to squeeze it in, but try sitting down and it digs into your leg and you feel it's going to bend or break. Worse and kind of embarrassing, after you get it in your pocket, you can't get the damn thing out as the corners stick. The software is horrible, sluggish and looks bad. Spotify looks awful. This will be a bigger flop than the Essential phone.
