Question - why have you chosen your dA as dy dx as opposed to dx dy? Given that the bounds are rectangular, it appears to me you could have chosen either.

You're right. Since the bounds are rectangular, you can easily do it either way. It's more standard to see dy dx than it is to see dx dy, since y is usually the dependent variable and x is the independent variable, but either way is completely fine.
